yes but thats not the point, you have stated that it cannot be the way we pronounce it, when in fact, you do not know that, nor have any way of knowing it.

but you have someone called Iesous to the Greeks, known formerly as Yehohshua to the Hebrews, whom you term Jesus (note the change from Y to J). Exactly the same occurrence has happened with the name of God for Jehovah is simply an English equivalent. Nor can you state with any certainty that it is not the correct pronunciation. You have nothing !

I am sure God appreciates you doing all that and them mispronouncing his name at the same time (no "J" sound in ancient Hebrew)

And what better way to have a good relationship with our God then to address him by name instead of just calling him by ...[text shortened]... in the habit of calling out from heaven every time one of his children does something stupid
But from my experiance of being a JW most of my life and using God's name Jehovah whenever I can, it seems to me that some react to it in almost a shocked way. I don't know how to explain it exactly but there is almost a strange reaction to it. And I've seen that over and over and over.
A friend of mine who's father was a preacher in a Baptist church, asked him if he knew God's name and why he didn't use it in his sermons?
He said he knew it was God's name and did want to use it but he was told not to because the people didn't want to hear it and it was just not permitted. So he didn't.
How sad that is and it only makes me think that it just confused them with the trinity thing.
I still wonder why the Holy Ghost or Spirit doesn't have a name? Is he not good enough or important enough?

God IS the Holy Spirit

the strange reaction has nothing to do with using the name Jehovah...think about it

I rarely believe second hand (my friend etc...) anecdotal evidence. correction, I never believe it.

which is fine, but the rest of Christendom doesn't go around saying we are the only true followers because we use the name of God, blah blah blah, because technically Jehovah is most certainly not the accurate rendering of God's name. Though I don't think God is bothered by it. I also don't think God is bothered by Christians addressing him as God, Lord, Adonai or Father

But why is it or he ever given a name? And I know this quote from this person you could take to the grave with you. I also knew their father.

If they are 3 but 1 and two parts have names it seems, I still don't see why the 3rd part or the Holy Ghost doesn't have a seperate name?

I've asked this question before and I don't remember if you commented on it but according to the bible if one sins against the "holy spirit" there is no forgiveness of sin. But we know there are many scriptures where it speaks of God ( YHWH) and Jesus forgiving sins against them.
Why the differance if they are all the same being?
