@sonship saidyou don't really sound like someone whose life is filled with unspeakable joy
It is a fact that some people will decide that they do not want Jesus to live in their hearts. This may even sound like foolish sentimental talk for Jesus, they think, is not alive or available or is not God.
I am going to try to show some of you that you are ALREADY under the control of someone else living in you. And this one is making your life sad and miserable. Christ will give unspeakable joy.
you sound like a tired old worn out preacher who is not all that happy

@sonship saidFor once we agree. You are the tapeworm of this world, and the sucking leeck of this universe, drawing people away from Christ, because you never tell people of the good works and righteousness that Christ preached about.
Satan is the tapeworm of this world.
Satan is the life sucking leech of this universe.
@sonship saidThese are all just your beliefs. I do not feel inclined to accept that it reflects reality.
@avalanchethecatIf (A) then (B). If not (B) then not (A). Do you understand now?
I'm considering.
In the mean time, if you have something far superior then living a life in oneness with the overcoming Son of God, what it is?
I am trying to show some of you that SIN is the personified power with a life of its own living as a parasite in you. Do you ...[text shortened]... transfiguration,
conformation,
building up into a universal corporate habitation of God in spirit.
Do you really think that everyone who isn't a christian is sad and miserable?
I think men and women born in this fallen world spend some time sad and miserable without exception. Of course God is gracious and allows many people much time of happiness and even space to pursue their enjoyments. That goes for even the most unfortunate of us.
Having said that and not fallen into your caricature sin saddens period.
No one likes to be dragged down contrary to her or his best desires.
And that is what the power of sin does.
It is more of a misery of loss of self control rather than the sadness of having missed out on a good time. Then it could also be both.
Oscar Wilde put something very wisely when he said:
"There are two only two tragedies in life. One is not getting what you want in life. And the other is getting it."
@sonship saidSounds like you're trying to convince yourself.

Edit: Also, not my caricature. That was your OP.

@sonship saidWhat evidence is there in your behaviour and demeanor here in this community that "Jesus lives in [your] heart"?

@sonship saidJesus, as far as I am aware, has been stone dead since he was executed by the Romans around 2,000 years ago.
It is a fact that some people will decide that they do not want Jesus to live in their hearts. This may even sound like foolish sentimental talk for Jesus, they think, is not alive or available or is not God.
I quite like the Golden Rule and philanyhropy-type teaching that is attributed to him by those who constructed a religion based on stories about him and on claims about who he was.
Even now as an non-Christian, I appreciate the efficacy and benefit of incorporating the non-supernatural bits of what Jesus is said to have taught into my everyday life which is not "sad and miserable" at all.

@sonship saidThis is evidence that it has been a successful religion in terms of how long it has lasted and how many adherents it has had, but it's not evidence that any of its claims about supernatural beings or phenomena are true.
@avalanchethecat
Don't look now. But the Christian faith has lasted on the earth (albeit through thick and thin, through attack from within the church and from without her) about 2,000 years or more.

@sonship saidIt's not that "the thought of Jesus living in [me] is repulsive". That isn't the issue at all. It's simply not credible. And all your talk of "tapeworms" and "sucking leeches" and your peculiarly narcissistic assertions about dissenters' "sad and miserable" lives does not have any effect on its believability.
If the thought of Jesus living in you is repulsive you already have been Satanified.

@lemondrop saidThis needed to be said.

@sonship saidUtter rubbish, completely unscriptural error.
@avalanchethecat
If God can obtain a critical mass of sons of God living a kingdom life, this will woo the Lord Jesus back to this earth.
10 Apr 21
@sonship saidNo we can’t!
@avalanchethecat
We can woo the Lord back as a critical mass of believers who have grasped and cannot be swayed any longer from living in oneness with the available Spirit of the Son of God.
Where do you get this nonsense made up rubbish from?
The long you are in this forum posting your copy pasted errors the more I realise that your church and its Lee based thinking is a total cult, steeped in layers of error.
