Theists: You believe in a god. How do you know he is good?
Atheists: If a god existed; what would be your criteria to ascertain the "goodness" of that deity?
To both: Even supposing a "good god" exists - why would you want to worship it?
I worship God because He said so.
Satisfied?

I suppose if you don't retract your misquote of wolfgang59, it will at least make it clear that it was deliberate on your part. 🙂

I'm not here to shoot semantic craps with you or anyone else who hasn't yet become serious about eternal spiritual issues. If and when you do become serious, I'll gladly resume this conversation. Meanwhile, you'll have to find somebody else with whom to roll the frivolous online forum gamesmanship dice. -Bob]

In what group do you find muslims?
In what group do you find buddhists?
In what group do you find agnostics?
In what group do I belong?
1. Those that believe in a deity or deities.
2. The others.
Originally posted by wolfgang59My concept of God simply does not stretch to Him being a being/entity who has such a blatantly folk tale style attribute as demanding to be worshipped. The notion seems preposterous and prosaic. Of course, I don't think God has revealed Himself to anyone; and certainly not to me [I gave Christianity a long run for its money, but its content ~ I came to realize ~ was about people, their imaginations, their culture and their identity, and it wasn't about God]. So I have no 'revelation' to proselytize ~ and nor do the religionist theists here.

I was wrong when I thought that by "theists" the OP meant "those who thinks like me" and by "atheists" he meant "the the other ones, even if they think they believe in christ and stuff".
You are a theist if you believe in Kala or Krishna or both, right?
The ones believing that the sun is god, they are also theists, right?
