John tells us why the things he wrote were written - "But these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you might have life in His name." (John 20:31)
We believers who have received life in His name are thankful that John had this divine "agenda" and was so clear about what he knew to be reality.
