As a non Christian, I am at liberty to pick and choose which neighbours I love.
@divegeester saidNo. I don't subscribe to the Christian understanding of love.
Yes it’s about loving people around you.
Do you love Suzianne Ghost of a Duke ?
I love my family and perhaps a few close friends. - That doesn't mean of course I don't care about the wellbeing of others.
@ghost-of-a-duke said"Love your neighbour' is about charity. If someone around you is in need, and you assist in whatever way you can, then you have fulfilled the royal law of the bible, and Jesus said all who practice this shall enter the Kingdom of God.
No. I don't subscribe to the Christian understanding of love.

What if you have the means to house a homeless person? Should you go ahead and do that, to fulfil the royal law of the bible?
@ghost-of-a-duke saidI didn’t ask you about the Christian understanding of love. I asked you if you love Suzianne?

@divegeester saidNo. - As clearly stated, I love my family and a few close friends. I don't love anybody I have never met or only interact with on the internet.
I didn’t ask you about the Christian understanding of love. I asked you if you love Suzianne?
Do you love FMF?
@divegeester saidWell, that's kind of the point.
2) you trying to hide that sentiment by making an argument based on what you and I already agree on.
Why do we agree? I'm an atheist, yourself a theist. You, apparently, are filled with the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. I'm filled with strong coffee and a biscuit.
Why hasn't the transforming power of the Holy Spirit created a noticeable difference between us? Why aren't you more willing to open up your own home to the homeless? Why aren't you more willing to sell all your possessions and give the proceeds to the poor?
@ghost-of-a-duke saidSame with me; we share the same love values.
No. - As clearly stated, I love my family and a few close friends. I don't love anybody I have never met or only interact with on the internet.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidLol; no he’s ugly, male and not my type.
Do you love FMF?
But for you; you like meeting your women online, Suzianne is female and your type.
