@kellyjay saidNothing that would warrant being tortured in burning flames for eternity, no.
You examine your own life, I am not your judge. You don’t feel guilty for anything, you think that you have never done anything wrong?
What do you think I MIGHT have done that would warrant me being tortured in burning flames for eternity?
@fmf saidWell I am not the judge neither am I one who sets up what crimes against God and man warrants what punishment. When we stand in front of earthly judges they sentence according to the law, God is Truth and will act accordingly, you can blow Him off, pretend whatever you want it will all be revealed on the day of judgment there will be no excuses.

@kellyjay saidThe punishment YOU believe is righteous is ludicrous. You judge it to be divine. You judge it to be fair. You judge it to be morally sound. Don't try to distance yourself from it.

@kellyjay saidThis is your argument justifying eternal torture? After you were only able to come up with "you're not squeaky clean" when I asked what "crimes" had I committed? Now you say I can't just "blow-off" the contents of your misanthropic imagination? That's the only kind of talking point your religious ideology provides you with?

@fmf saidI never said anything about what I think is righteous and if I implied anything it would be that I trust God’s judgment over mine. I don’t see the beginning of the end, I don’t know what is in the heart of another, and what I know about me shows me I need a Savior.

You may think if you were to turn to God He would be lucky to have you, that maybe He needs to work harder to convince you. In the end all of this will be cleared up. It is we who are blessed by the grace of God, it isn’t the other way around.
@kellyjay saidThis is drivel, KellyJay.
You may think if you were to turn to God He would be lucky to have you, that maybe He needs to work harder to convince you.
God would be lucky...
He needs to work harder...
Thoughts projected onto me?
Don't talk to me like I am a cretin, please.
Spare me this kind of stuff.
@kellyjay saidThis is the 'After you die FMF, you will find I was right all along' debating point.

That the profession of your faith relies on such rhetorical dreck ought to be an eye-opener for you.

@fmf saidNo you could have had a relationship with Him here had you ever sought Him with all your heart.

@fmf saidI don’t care! What you believe can change on a dime. What is always true even if you change your mind to accept one thing that is something totally at odds with your first confession, is you believed.
But I don't believe the God figure you describe exists.
The fact you are confirming is you believe in some truth.
Now if you accept something as true then change your mind you are now calling it false. If these views actually have a correct answer the truth about the topic never changes only your opinion does.
@divegeester saidWhich explains one of the reasons Christianity is dying in post-industrial countries : many of those who are most vociferous about propagating it cannot make a coherent case for it to a sensible, rational person living in a well-managed technological society full of rights and privileges and comforts. It appeals at a visceral level, or not at all. Christianity may still be making gains in Third World countries where people's daily fair is fear, famine, pestilence, tyranny, high infant mortality, illiteracy, and infectious disease (e.g., sub-saharan Africa, Kentucky).
I can honestly say that I find about 25% of KellyJay’s posts to be completely incomprehensible rambling.
