@kellyjay saidThe laws of God is written in the hearts of all men. Nobody needs the bible to know what God wants and to determine what is right from wrong. So I dont need to hold anything in the bible to any standard. The bible is irrelevant.
You use scripture, even scripture written by Paul to justify and correct because you know the Christians you are talking to acknowledge it is the revealed written Word of God, and you do not hold it to that same standard. Hypocrite, you have said that the scripture doesn't mean the same thing to you as those you talk to, but you do it, deceitfully. You may believe in 'a' Jesus, but he is one of your own making, not the one in scripture, you are not alone in that here.
Jesus justified all people, from Adam to the end of time. All who show charitable brotherly love to others as Jesus described in Matt 25, will enter the Kingdom of God.
Your constant focus on bible, on silly little church catch phrases and is your downfall.
- saved by grace through faith
- profess faith and you are saved
- all people are filthy sinners
- personal relationship with Jesus
- works salvation and legalism
All of that is nonsense. Nothing there will get you into the Kingdom of God. When you stop talking that rubbish and start doing what Jesus commanded, then you getting somewhere.. Strangely Paul said that as well, but you never quote that part of Pauls letters.
@kellyjay saidEveryone is without excuse. Everyone will be judged by the law that is written in their hearts and in their conscience.
Do they? You think everyone knows, and if so that only means that everyone will be without excuse.
Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil,
of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good,
to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
For there is no respect of persons with God. (Romans 2:9-11 KJV)
(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another)
(Romans 2:13-15 KJV)

@kellyjay said : I also acknowledge some people rub me the wrong way and I can find myself thinking of very bad things to say and do to them.
Did it ever occur to you that people who rub you the wrong way and challenge your belief system might have been sent by God to help you learn some important lesson ? If you were to look at people that way, instead of as being evil by nature, don’t you think it would improve your attitude towards life, the universe, and everyone? It would certainly lend you a more felicitous impact on your interlocutors at RHP.

@rajk999 saidI know you feel that way, you have repeatedly said so. You don't need the Bible it only gets in your way in setting up what you think should be the way that God should accept us not what the written Word says. You view the Word as irrelevant to you, yet as the great deceiver you are you use it to justify and condemn. Deceiver, your god is between your ears, nowhere else, you do not accept the God who inspired the scriptures. You and the others who have made up a Jesus acceptable to them not the one spoken of in scriptures preach false doctrine found between your ears not from God's revealed word, and any revelation contrary to the written word is as false as you and they are.

@moonbus saidAbsolutely without a doubt, God has used everyone here to help shape me, correcting things that do not line up with scripture even if they were not trying to. Nothing about anything I have said makes me think I'm better than anyone else here I am not. Now there are a few here who do think they are better than others. Do you count yourself among that group? I remind you we all share the same nature.

@kellyjay saidDo you believe you are commanded by God to be in a big prideful huff, dodging hundreds of on-point questions and observations about your faith, on this internet message board? Do you believe your behaviour here is part of God's plan for you?

@fmf saidOn point here @kellyjay, do you believe your behavior here counter-acts any of the hate you claim to see everywhere? After all, that is your thread topic …

@moonbus saidI believe that I need a Savior because I fall short. That is the truth, and if you don’t think you do, instead you are perfectly acceptable as is, that also says something.

@kellyjay saidThis is merely a slice of generic faithspeak. But moonbus's question is a good one and on-topic. Do you believe your behaviour here counter-acts any of the hate you claim to see everywhere?

"Acceptable" to who whom?

Do your religious beliefs make you "perfectly acceptable" to your fellow human beings? If not, why are you asking other people whether they are "perfectly acceptable"?
