Really? How do you like having to pay for the B10 network just to watch the games? They can keep the B10 network.
Hey, what'd you think of Boise St. having to muster up all their weapons? It was 30-28 last night into the 4th quarter againmst lowly L.Tech! So much for Boise St greatness. To their credit they pulled it off, but a bad bounce here or there might have proved deadly. Personally I think Boise St sucks!

Here's our local blog for Duck Football. It's a great blog with a lot of links to other places and a great source of PAC-10 information if any of you have an interest at all in that:

Wow!! Anyone saw my Buckeyes winning so big in Happy Valley? Perhaps it is on to yet another Big Ten title? Who woulda thunk it?
I have to say, this was the FIRST game in which I have seen improvement in TP. He did not turn the ball over even though he struggled a bit throwing...as usual. I just can't believe Penn State did not stack the line and force him to throw. The offensive line was also uncharacteristically good tonight.
You know, I could get used to this. 😀

Originally posted by Ray Gunz IOSU certainly looked great. Now if they could only have such outings consistently! I knew Pen St was ovrrated indeed. Perhaps next year. Bet Penn ST hated getting beat by someone like TP who dissed Penn ST as too country! Cinci is another overrated team. Won by the skin of their fingertips last night. CT is no powerhouse and it took almost 800 yds of offense to put them away! Refs in SEC need Lasik indeed. LSU got robbed. The negated interception would hvae made a huge difference. Worst loss was a Cardinal having Duck for dinner. Cardinals not even being carnivores underlies the depth of embarrassment Oregon should feel. What a let down! Glad to b in Texas!

Originally posted by trev33The numbers are their BCS rankings (bowl championship series). The idea is for the championship game to be between #1 and 2. However, rankings are somewhat subjective. BCS rankings are a composite between Computer, USA Today and Harris INteractive Polls. Some teams are higher in some polls than in others. Some imo are way overrated like Boise St and Cincinatti. The Ducks, #8 yesterday, inevitably will drop like rocks in the polls since they could not duck for cover against Stanford, an unranked team, yet last week they beat then #4 USC. the vagaries of ranking in college football are much more subjective than chess rankings although, as in chess, statistically speaking a lower ranked player could beat a much higher rated player on any given game.
watched bits of a couple of games yesterday... what is the number beside some of the teams, some sort of seeding? both numbered teams lost.
Originally posted by scacchipazzoThanks one and all for your kind words about my Buckeyes. It's like I said, Tressel is a good coach. I just didn't think TP, known as tunrover prone in these parts, as having it in him to have such a good game whether he had good coaching or not. Was it a freak of nature? I will say I was not all that impressed with his throwing. In fact, he had a myraid of over thrown balls, a couple of which cost them touchdowns, but at least he did not turn the ball over. That is all you can ask. Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised by the offensvie line and the running game. I was shocked they did not stack the line and force TP to throw. As for Iowa next Saturday, you never want to rule them out but it will be very tough for them without their QB. Without him they looked very anemic indeed!!

I think you are right about Cincinnati. They are overrated, but we will probably have to wait until the play Pitt at the end of the season to see this come to fruition.
And lastly, the Florida/Texas game is a given for the NCG. I say Florida by 14.
Originally posted by whodeyYou really think FL can beat Alabama? Alabama was finally truly impressive even though I feel LSU was obbed. The bad callas and the non callas were terrible. Cinci will fall gainst W.Virginia and make it to Pitt with a 9-1 record. Nat Chanpionship game should prove interesting. Txas' D is gelling, however and may be much strnger than Florida's or Alabama's. The one strong point for Bama is that omnster RB, INgram!

The ranking change each week (they include the up to the week game results).
So how about it kids!! Will my Buckeyes win victoriously over Iowa and then go on the the Rose Bowl? If so, who will they face in the Rose Bowl?
