Tournament 1677
Just to keep everybody updated. English Tal is still fighting hard to win his games so lets give him some support.
ET has succeeded regardless of the outcome, even if he does not get a rematch with Cludi he will still be number two chess player on the site out of 40-50 thousand?
I said earlier and I believe that all in this final group have proved themselves to be exceptional, but of course I want to see ET win as he is my clan leader! (no offense Cludi) 🙂
Originally posted by Pigface1It appears there are 223,000 players on this site. Go to player look-up. It will give the number at the bottom of the page.

The question is how many active?
So to be in the top 2,000 would put one in the top 1%.
To be in the top 10 is insane. Definitely someone who could compete at the highest level.

Congratulations cludi!
I want to be the first to congratulate you.... after posting this thread I am going to accept draws in the remaining two games of the 2007 Championship.
(I will post again about the tactics used against Gatecrasher and Salin, two superb and sporting opponents. There are lessons here for us all, some surprising.)
2007 Champion.... cludi.
