It surprises me that you do not sense the slightest danger here. Trump is a “swashbuckler” a “strong man” you say. It is all too obvious that both the Senate and Barr are Trump’s puppies. Just take out the space between “strong” and “man” and that is what Trump actually aspires to be. A strongman head of state, who rejects any oversight, with a rubber-stamp parliament and a ...[text shortened]... d checks and balances. Trump has systematically undermined both oversight and the separation powers.

It isn't a moot point when your point was that all that Trump needed to win was to have Fox News convince White America to vote for him. That just isn't sufficient anymore.
Trump will not get himself reelected and didn't get himself elected the first time. We can't look at Trump's efforts, we have to look around him (Fox News, the Republican-controlled Senate, governors of red states, etc.). Don't look at Trump as a measure of reelection, look at what the GOP is doing: voter suppression, spreading propaganda, etc. If Trump is to win, this is what will get him elected.
Right now, I don't think the efforts of the GOP will succeed. Unlike when Hillary ran, Dems and even Republicans are fired up at the idea of Trump losing, regardless how bad the Dem nominee is. 'But we still need to be watchful; don't look at Trump, pay attention to the curtain behind him; that's how we should judge whether or not Trump will win.

Of course you are blind to the fact Trump is a failure as a leader.
He passed off the Covid crisis to the states rather than starting a federal response, saying he is not the states parts clerk or words to that effect.
That ALONE is a reason to kick his sorry arse out come November.
But all you can do is spout the Trumpite line that he saved millions of lives by stopping flights.
The problem with that argument is the flight stops were announced two weeks in advance which meant the ones wanting in just chose different countries to enter, like Toronto first THEN Kennedy or Mexico City THEN Chigago.
He stopped NOTHING, a worthless gesture he touts as if he was the savior of the human race.
That is a joke, he only saves Donald Trump and nobody else.
All the cases of his corruption I posted here and all you can do is poo poo all of it as if none of that matters.
I can see 100% if all that was on the head of Obama you would be screaming to the top of your lungs, LOCK HIM UP.

Send me one of the charges of corruption and the findings, by what authority, with regard to such charge. Dont bore us all with bankrupting his companies (I am a businessman and bankruptcy is just a tool, I have clients who have utilized it), and stuff like that. Just documented and adjudicated charges.
