Ask yourself why you and those who share your outlook feel obligated to ridicule and scorn those who reach out to you with love.

Reading RBHill and Darfius "debating" whether all the animals (swimming or otherwise) were placed on the Ark has to be the most surreal thing I have ever read. I'm actually starting to think that you guys seriously believe the whole universe was created 6.000 years ago; a belief that in the light of modern science is less serious than the flat Earth is the center of the Universe. Please, please tell me that you're just screwing with us skeptics and you're not ready for a padded cell.

I don't claim dragons do exist. I claim they were dinosaurs and that dinosaurs walked the earth when men did. And if this is the case, then it lends credence to the idea that the Bible is the inspired Word of God.

And if it is, then those who sin and do not atone for it through accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior will not make it to heaven.
So...
If dinosaurs walked the earth when humans did, that is proof that God exists?

That, my friend, is the most crap argument I've heard since...since...since George W wanted to invade Iraq.

Ephesians 1:5-8 KJV

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; 8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

Nyxie what does verse 5 have in it adoption good see it?

You should Read The Purpose Driven Life by: Rick Warren. It is an excellent book for Christian growth. I like Chapter 15.

The very first sentence in the book qoutes "It's not about you."

It is a joke of what scientist give the age for fossils that they find.

If by love you mean, "Believe what I believe or you are going to hell" I'll take your hate.

Did you ever stop to think that people may not want to hear or even agree with your so called good news? What about people of another faith that strongly want to share their beliefs with you. A belief that you believe is completely wrong? Wanna hear about that?

What about other good news? Suppose I just got laid. Would you like for me to share that with ya?

I really don't care how much good news you or anyone else spreads. I'm happy that you have your faith and that it fills a need in your life. I truly am. I'm not kidding about that at all.

What bothers me about religion, and not just Christianity, but all of them, is when it creeps into legislation. When our lawmakers feel pressured to shove their version of religion/morals/ethical standards/etc, down everyone's throats. Then it effects ME! You I can ignore, but laws I cannot. Then their religion is in my life and my business. I don't want it there. I'm an American citizen and I don't need or want anyone else's version of salvation in my home and personal life. I'll find my own salvation if you don't mind. I'll find it when I'm ready to find it. or not. It's my life, so everyone else can stay out of it.

Can you, or anyone else here, at least see my point and understand that?

Surely it isn't love, it is the desire for everyone to be like you. You think you have all the answers, you have found a system of beliefs that works for you and you think you need to tell everyone. You are like someone that has found a really good detergant and all you can do is talk about how good your detergant is. If someone believes as strongly as you do that they have found the right path then your constant haranguing is certainly not love. It is your hate for their beliefs that diverge from yours that drives you. Can you understand this? Can you see why preaching at people isn't love of said people, but love of yourself. Kind of like religous masterbation.

I would lisson to it then Scare my faith and show them where they are wrong.

And for that other thing yes if I was a dirty old man I probably would.

And how many times have you failed at your own Free will to come to this Thread.

Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship with God, through the Savior Jesus Christ.
