@athousandyoung saidYeah, the working stiffs spend
Yes, it is extremely minimal, as a percentage of the population. That's the problem! A handful of people are acquiring most of the money in the nation without working and then sitting on it, demanding more and more!
When you consider how much money is being inherited, suddenly it's a LOT more than when you consider what percentage of the population is inheriting m ...[text shortened]... t circulating because rich people are hoarding it there is less for working people to get access to.
their money, the wealthy folks sit on it.

@jimm619 saidInsurance they impose on you and they make difficult to collect, ya moron.
They paid into the fund.....
It's caIIed insurance, 'ya moron,
it's not a give away......
How many trees have you pIanted recently?
People working for cash while collecting unemployment are committing insurance fraud in a way, right?
Why should I be forced to pay insurance that is plagued with fraud? Wouldn't it be more fair to require people to work for it? People thought Andrew Yang was foolish for suggesting a UBI, but that is what unemployment has become.
Unemployment is just a UBI under a different name and you can only get it if you lose your job. Getting laid off is your lucky day to get your UBI. You can't quit to get it so you have to get fired under certain circumstances. Oh, and you have to work for so long to get your UBI insurance benefit or you don't get it.

@metal-brain saidWho’s getting paid not to work? They might be getting relief because there are no jobs available, it’s called a safety net, it’s a socialist thing so I shouldn’t need to be explaining this to you.
I agree with you. We should not be working so much, but that is capitalism. The worker never gets a fair shake because the employer pockets most of the profits. Socialism is the answer to that, but not paying people to not work. That is stupid no matter what your political ideology is.
What if all people were paid not to work? It is a no brainer. Paying people not to ...[text shortened]... . That is unacceptable. It burdens people who are working for a living while rewarding the scammers.
Work for welfare under the current capitalist system would be tantamount to modern day serfdom whereby you work like a Trojan and get paid like a slave whilst shareholders and hedge funds pocket the difference.

Trees can be planted until you run out of trees.
When a judge gives someone so many hours of community service do people tell the judge there is no community service available? There is always work available.

When you cross that invisible boundary between working for your money and your money working for you.
@metal-brain saidThere is always work, that is true. Question is: can you feed your family from it?

And for the "investor" would you plant trees for minimum wage?
@metal-brain saidSo you want unemployed people to go all 1930s hobo and jump on a freight train looking for work or alternatively they could do community service 👍 I guess this a Soviet version of socialism or some weird imaginary version.

No! decent real jobs for decent pay is what is required not treating the working class like footloose cattle to be sold of to the highest or best connected bidder.
If the federal or state governments want to use the some of the money about to pumped their way to create real reforestation jobs then fine🤷🏻♂️

@suzianne saidWhatever works! And yes, republicans keep the populace informed and on our toes. But alas, it may be too little too late unless AOC and the horrible ‘close the prisons’ Tlaib continue dragging Dems down.
It's Tucker Carlson's Fear Factory.
Republicans would never get elected if they didn't regularly scare the bejesus out of the white people.
@kevcvs57 saidPosts like this from you and Marauder confirm, without question, Socialism, and to me, Marx. Keep it coming for our entertainment. If you two were coming by for a free turkey dinner, I would lock up my wallet and checkbook. Happy Thanksgiving. ESP the receiving end of the “giving” part.

@averagejoe1 saidthey (whoever they you're referring to) did.
@mghrn55. I wish they would define “get relief” and ‘safety net’!
You, as usual, chose to ignore and keep on believing whatever fox news tells you to.
