Boring? Nothing boring about her plans. You may ignore the critics, who know more than we do, but can you tell us why her candidacy is meeting with so much negativism? Can you tell us what the senators and congressmen find wrong with her?
We must take your options with a grain of salt, as you were raised in socialism. Like, hey, Average Joe, she has great idea ...[text shortened]... our policy makers like her? And my being dumb makes no difference to your answer, should be easy.;
"can you tell us why her candidacy is meeting with so much negativism?"
because corporate prostitutes are scared she might be someone who will actually do her job?

"Can you tell us what the senators and congressmen find wrong with her?"
they and their donors make a lot of money at the expense of the public's interest and they would make less money if the comptroller did their job

"Government control is a good thing"
In certain areas and in certain amounts it is. I am not as stupid as you and the rest of your right wingers as to immediately scream "government control bad, marxism, communism" to every piece of crap propaganda fox news spews.

"And my being dumb makes no difference to your answer, should be easy.;"
Sure it does. If you were someone who genuinely doesn't understand something and genuinely wants to learn, i would try my best to explain or if i don't know i would maybe direct them to someone who can. You are however dumb and proud of it, unwilling to learn and convinced anyone not conforming to your ideas is a marxist. So at times, i am unwilling to put in the effort to explain just to show everyone else who is reading but not participating in this pointless excercise that i too know the same things they do.

Zhalanzi..... why would a capitalist want to learn about that which flies directly into the face of capitalism? As if you could convince a red blooded American that the socialist or communist way, or ANY OTHER way, would be better than capitalism? Where, pray tell, has it been better? Romania??

OK, you and I have a good'un here.
Let us discuss what areas that you think should be 'controlled by the government". We will stipulate that there definitely are, like air traffic control and the FDA,, etc.
Private enterprise could handle Air Traffic, frankly, and Certainly handle the post office!!.
But what are the areas you think definitely require govt control.

You can contribute your suggestions to the last question.
What areas do you think require government control ?
I'm sure you can come up with some solutions to the social ills that we all know are near and dear to you, as a conservative.

Let's let Zhalanzi give us his answers, first, as this is his issue. And, so as not to confuse the thread. Then we can add to or subtract from his suggestions.
Stand by. 🤔

The post office must remain government controlled. Everyone should have access to cheap, government subsidized mailing, not subject to Bezos deciding it's not cost effective to deliver something to a poor vet in whatever small town. Or that the medicine an old person is receiving is less important than the 6000$ tv someone ordered.
If you want to fedex something you can. If you can't afford to fedex something, the government run post office should provide a cheap reliable alternative

"But what are the areas you think definitely require govt control."
wall street, banking, worker protections and regulations, environment preservation, national parks, police, fire department, healthcare, education, tax collection, housing, to name but a few.

You couldn't think of anything except air traffic (what?) and the FDA

I said """"LIKE air traffic and post office...". Whew. You libs stickler when it just makes matters worse. "Like".

Here is where you and libs blow it. It is called competition in the USA. Many enterprises (and NOT the government) would handle all mail, and they increase their respective business by competing...competing....with each other, by, of course, lowering pricing. Everybody happy. I love this country. I do not know WHAT in the hell you are writing about. And to wrap this vignette up, you mention Bezos, like he is the only service??? There is Shopify Walmart Target....By now all Americans have about 50 catalogs in our mail boxes to order from this month. Delivery??? We have many couriers (DHL, FEDex, UPS, et al, all competing with each other. Back to competion, Zahlanzi. You liberals never ever complete your posts with all sides of the issue.....only your closed-minded off-the-wall comments, just left hanging, no foundation.
I dont get your comparing a TV to medical needs.

You say the goverrrrnnnnnnment 'should' provide a cheap alternative?? How so? You lost me there, too. I'd love to know where you draw THAT line. Should? Is it in the Constitution?

Govt agencies? Those which protect the country as a whole. Regs to avoid crime in Wall Street, but what other reg would Wall Street have? I say risk your money and cross your fingers, govt has nothing to do with it.;
OSHA, Workers comp (which they pay into) we need. Environment of course I agree, no more Flynt Michigan. National Parks, Police Fire department, all agreed.m To say "healthcare' is a bit general, certainly you dont mean free healthcare, like Bernie wants??
No to education,,,,,actually, there should be NO dept of education, it is a waste of money since each state already has one in their respective states. Also you dont want the feds teaching and indoctrinating our children, as Hitler did with the brown shirts, but that is another issue, or course....but a good comparison .
Did you say Housing??? To what end? HUD is OK, but it should have its limits. your buddy shave says govt should provide free housing? How would THAT work out. If I stop working tomorrow, can I get free housing? I think I will stop working. Lets seek, ;then I will get meds and food and just a world of stuff

"Zhalanzi..... why would a capitalist want to learn about that which flies directly into the face of capitalism?"
Because that's how human beings evolve. They expose themselves to new ideas, they educate themselves, they adjust their belief systems, retain what is useful, change or discard what is not

"As if you could convince a red blooded American that the socialist or communist way"
This is why i keep saying you're dumb. Because your simple mind can't comprehend any other alternative to capitalism than communism. Black and white, nothing inbetween. Nbody on this forum has EVER advocated communism. Not one thinking: "Hmm, you know what would be a good idea? Planned economy, dictatorship and everyone supposedly earning the same." Not the theoretical communist model nor the historical instances where someone has tried it and it devolved into a dictatorship and the wealthy simply being the party leaders
But you don't care what the others are saying. Trying to argue for or against some simple regulations of corporations, higher taxes on people earning billions is harder than saying "you want us all to earn the same, to model ourselves after the soviet union or north koreea or Cuba".

"or ANY OTHER way, would be better than capitalism"
it is better. Germany, UK, France, Canada, Australia, not to mention the scandinavian countries. All have better social systems and an economy that works for more people than a few billionaires.

You have competition when it comes to medicine in the US. The result is that pretty much every drug costs more than in any other civilized country. Because you great capitalists can't comprehend that just because there is competition it doesn't mean the prices will go down where the product can be afforded by all. If we just have more yacht manufacturers and allow them to compete the price will go down to 100 bucks a piece, right? Or maybe, and i know this is a stretch (i am being sarcastic, in case you don't get it) yachts will stay expensive because the yacht manufacturer is better off selling a 10 million dollar yacht (it's an arbitrary number as an example) to one person than sell 100 yachts at let's say 10 000$ each

Medicine MUST be afforded by everyone. That's not a luxury like a yacht or a diamond ring.

"Many enterprises (and NOT the government) would handle all mail, and they increase their respective business by competing...competing....with each other, by, of course, lowering pricing. "
That already happens with amazon, fedex, Ups and whatever. Not everyone can afford it plus many other reasons. Those that can't can rely at least on the US postal office.

"I do not know WHAT in the hell you are writing about"
I know, i know. That's why fewer and fewer people are responding to you. Because educating you is just too much damn work.

"You say the goverrrrnnnnnnment 'should' provide a cheap alternative?? How so? You lost me there, too."
Yes, it should. As part of having a civilized country, people should be able to communicate cheaply.

"Is it in the Constitution?"
Not everything is in the constitution. But sure, put it there if it makes you feel better.

"To say "healthcare' is a bit general, certainly you dont mean free healthcare, like Bernie wants??"
Certainly i want what Bernie wants. You and morons like you understanding that it isn't free but paid by everyone's taxes would be a bonus but totally not necessary.

I got bored. The rest of your ramblings can be answered by someone else.

Mail certainly could be privatized. In a world where you have companies such as Fed and UPS sending things quickly and effectively and where the are adequate substitutes to actually sending things such as you can e-mail, scanning or text, there is no need for the government to interfere. Government needs to shrink to be effective and should start by not interfering with well run private industries.

Then should not 'Food' be affordable by everyone? Why stop with medicine? Zahlanzi, do all of your posts imply that your economic ideas, whatever they are, should apply to all societies of the world ? I think that that is the logical conclusion of your premise. Belgium, New Guinea, USA, Timbuktoo, all one real happy family. Of course, a world of dependent peoples. Do you not see that ? And why would someone in such a society try to better themselves , try to get ahead of their competitors? What would be the point? Kev and Suzaianne would just simply get the fruit of their labors.

As to comparing medicine yacht and diamond ring, some people are rich and buy yachts. Some are not, and have to budget to afford their medicines. If they are destitute,, the USA will take care of them......but they will NOT buy them a yacht. Those 2 scenarios are not connected. Why do you connect them?
And the Wolfe guy.....on YouTube...He is an individual doing whatever he does. I am a guy with a Pillow Factory. Do you note how he suggests that he somehow has SOMETHING TO DO WITH MY LIFE, MY BUSINESS?? This is where you fellows have mush for. brains. Is this Champion of Dependence going to cone to my office and think he has something to talk to me about? I am none of his business. My point is that he thinks it is quite natural for his ilk to get involved with my ilk. Why doesn't he just get a job and raise his family? This is what I mean above when I say I don't know what in the world you libs are talking about. Everything you talk about regards relying on someone else. If my employees all come into my office demanding a part ownership, I will simply fire them and hire someone else. You and the Youtuber Wolfe cannot even compute such a thing in your brains.
As to 'being able to afford' amazon or fedex, they just live a diff kind of life style, at their choice (too many kids, Zahlanzi??.). I planned ahead to be able to afford the life I live. My Uber driver has chosen the life he lives. Zahalanxi, what do you want to do about my life, compared to the life of the Uber driver.? Do you actually think that they are connected.?

Have y'all read Zhalanzi above?
I believe if we all live on an island and my coconut business is thriving, that he thinks the island council should be able to come to my office and tell me how to run my business, and how to pay and run my employees. Do y'all think that?

Why are we paying people to collect unemployment when there is work to do? Can't people plant trees before they get an unemployment check?
Meanwhile there are people that want to work and are trying to get a job and cannot get hired. They would plant trees to earn a paycheck.

It is a broken system that nobody seems motivated to fix. How do we fix it?
