I have never been treated unfairly by this sit since I joined in 2001. Any punishment that I have gotten has been justly deserverd. Russ is not one to move too rashly because of public demand and I think you know that (good god no one reasons slower than a computer geek in dealing with humans). If phlab, david, russ and the others say it is so.....it is so.

I am willing to thank anyone who comes out in the open within the rules of the site and explains why these people have been banned and offers some sort of example or evidence as to why. Until the SITE ADMINS get this right then the GAME MODS will be open to influence and attack in the public/private forums.
you can correct me if Im wrong about that being your previous position.

I don't blame you. Did ironman actually say that he was who you think he was? Usually there is a way to contact this person through editors. How do we know that david tebb is who we think he is?

surely ironman (if an engine user) has come up against another engine user on many occasions in his 1303 games possibly using the same engine, chessmaster v chessmaster usually one side will win. The thought of beating ironman must have been very tempting for some to use an engine so surely he should have more losses? And by the looks of some of his challenges he takes anybody on.

I support the existence of the Game Mods; I disapprove of public cheat accusations in the forums. I would like to see a more official Game Mod system implemented at RHP that works on an egalitarian basis.
I have never been an advocate of "naming names" and my point now that cheats have been made public is the reassurance that due process has been observed. I have no personal interest in any of the 5 banned players, all I want to know is that justice has been done and I think a rudimentary element of fairness is to allow the accused a chance to defend themselves - privately.
If along with this hidden page listing names, Russ and co. had introduced an upfront Game Mod page which set out the rules and allowed an official way to report and track suspected games, and along with the names a simple explanation of the proven evidence again them, then you wouldn't be hearing a word of objection from me.
My worst nightmare is that you're going to turn into the J. Edgar Hoover of RHP, bolstered by this seeming recognition of your efforts, I can see you replacing your "On the way out" banner in the forums with "Always get my man" and it sends shivers down my spine. 🙁
