>Cheat or not, hell to a lot of chess players just playing the No.1.player would bring a smile to our day.I know playing against David Tebb when he dropped to no.2. brought a lot of enthusiasum to my chess game and it makes no difference to me if he had used a computer or not.I know he didn't because he showed me how to use the pawns.

>This may sound stupid but what if Ironman uses a computer database for a certain time then analyse the before/after data.

>He.he....anyone suspected of cheating will be forced to cheat for a period one month. If found guilty you will be banned from the site.If found innocent everyone who said bad words towards you will have to send one kiss-ass message per/day to you for the same duration of the period they abused you.
If however they believe they are innocent then the same period of grace we showed to you will also apply to them.We do understand it may seem wrong for them to abuse you again, which is why we have set up a chess-computer to send you two kiss-ass messages per day.
Thank you playing chess at RHP we hope you have a special day!!!

What a GREAT idea.

That will surely make the evidence gathering easier. I fully support this idea.

That's not "my way" it’s the fair and just way.
Sorry if I'm slow...

I see the problem now. You assume this has only happened because no1 said something.

Utter rubbish, as far as I'm concerned. The Game Mods made clear in the relevant thread that they were already working on matters before no1 publicly said anything.

Also, does the list of banned people match up with the ones no1 has presented evidence about? I don't believe it does.

EDIT: I see now that both of these points have been made before. But I think they're worth repeating because they're so fundamental.

How is this different from PMing the mods?!

Any method you suggest that's private has the same effect. Any method you suggest that's public is going to lead to all sorts of problems and people being shunned as cheaters before the Game Mods have made a decision.

Post hoc ergo propter hoc. After no1's comments does not equal BECAUSE of no1's comments.

Who should the questions be from? You?

There's another logical explanation.

He is really that person. He has fun coming to a site that doesn't really matter in the scheme of things and loves having his ego stroked. So he ensures his results match his once glorious reputation.

I suspect that engine use is not quite so utterly mechanical. Given what I saw in the CC private clan forum, engines have a number of settings that can be adjusted. Maybe IM31 knew how to tweak the settings than any of his engine-using rivals.

Not that I necessarily think he HAD that many games against other engine users.

Mhmmmm...that's a difficult one.
You see, I know that in three months time the same % of the chess site will still be cheating. If the mods can't catch them, that means they're more subtle about it.

Since we're no longer innocent until proven guilty, you disprove what I've just written.

Duh.
