How can you say it's "bull" when the only unofficial evidence that has been presented is No1's - for those that have looked at it, which is precious few. The GAME MODS / SITE ADMINS should be doing the job that No1 chose to do off his own back and if his evidence stands up then let the GAME MODS / SITE ADMINS present it to us, instead of a list of names, without anything else, not even removing them from the PLAYER TABLES - how sloppy is this?! 😕

This is just a question and i don't want to upset the admin. (because i'm sure they felt there was enough evidence) but if ironman proves he is an extraordinary chess player i.e. through past live competitions, with a ref, mod, ect would he be able to sue for slander??

ASSUMING that IM and co *were* given a chance to defend themselves - at least, privately, to the game mods - i think the process has been unusual but reasonably fair given the circumstances. clearly if these issues were decided on one members' analyses alone (and i don't pretend to really understand them) that would be ridiculous. but the fact that the game mods have concurred with no1's allegations and analyses suggests to me that no1 deserves a big thank you for all of his hard (and time-consuming) work.

You seem to be quite informed about the way the game mods work ... why don't you enlighten us then?

The Game Mods rely on people coming forward with evidence of cheating; that is what I and others did. There were people removed today that I did no analysis on but others reported. The system worked that you said you supported 1000%. If you want to say the accused should be informed up front, I agree but the rest of your rant is just ironic given the position you've been screeching for the last two weeks.

And if he was found to have used an engine he could be guilty of fraud and abuse of the legal process. Bet ya a buck, he don't try it.

You are such a hypocrite - you put your evidence forward to the OFFICIAL GAME MODS and they were luke warm towards it - they've only looked at it again because you have created so much disruption and disharmony by using your "private forum" to make accusations.

I'm sorry but this stinks. I have always agreed that there is some level of Engine use problem at this site but the only way to deal with it is to expose the people who are guilty - but to do that you have to have a fair tribunal system that allows those who come under suspicion to defend themselves - No1marauder, you proposed this basic right too!

Put an OFFICIAL system in place - an "ALERT GAME" button, a GAME MODS page, with all the details as to how to report suspected games, proven cheats backed up by EVIDENCE in layman's terms, that's all we want, it's fair, it's just, it's common sense!?! 😲

I agree with pineapple42 here

Oddly enough when I played him, Ironman31 was the one who actually challenged me to a game. This was after seeing a couple of games that I had posted up in one of the threads of the chess forum, which were won with an unusal opening. He wanted to play this opening. Eventually we played 3 games using this opening, and it became more like a training session, with me trying varations. We chatted a little during each game and I found him to be very pleasant. When you consider the fact that my rating was so much lower than his, he would have barely gained any ratings points from playing me, in fact if I remember correctly, I lost one point in our last game & his rating stayed the same. Hardly the actions of a cheater in my opinion.

Therefore I too would like to know more of the evidence specifically with regards to the following questions...

1) exactly what percentage did he match fritz.
2) what was the basis's for matching fritzs moves were (as in are we talking about just matching the best move, or the best 3 or the best 10 etc).
3) what percentage of his total games were checked.
4) what was the selection criterior used for the games choosen.
