I'm sorry but I fear that a huge miscarriage of justice is taking place here and it's nothing to do with what I or No1 think about IM31 - it's about what processes are in place, put there by the Admins to deal with this. You can't a ban the top player for yonks at this site without an explanation, not when those that know him are aware that he's proclaiming his innocence.

If the Site's Policy on Cheating worked then small fry like No1 wouldn't be allowed to happen. If he wants to report his analysis to the Game Mods then fair play to him.
The bottom line is that the process needs to be clear cut - how do you report - on what basis - what will the Game Mods do - on what evidence shall they act - when someone is b ...[text shortened]... the trouble to read him his rights and tell him why. It's beyond shocking, it's embarrassing.

Ironman's banning in my mind has nothing to do with No1marauder or anyone else. In the 2 years I have played Chess at this site I have understood that Edmond Dantes / Ironman31 was the FIDE referee Afro xxxxxx, if that is the case then I cannot believe that somebody like that would be stupid enough to get caught blatantly cheating on a public correspondence chess site, and until the ADMINS (nobody else is relevant) prove that he either isn't who he appears to be or show the evidence as to why they know he is a cheat then they should expect this kind of criticism.

Marauder has mentioned before that he already presented his "case" to the mods ... he wasn't happy about the time it took them to analyze it.

From the very start it has been mentioned that there will be NO PUBLIC proces report. Yet ... now ... you start your rant that it isn't fair. Its just like the tiresome discussion about "freedom of speech" a year ago that got Cribs banned. The site admins made it very clear that this site is NOT a democracy ... screaming that that is also not right will not change it ... you will either have to live with it or leave ... that was the same message I received when defending the "freedom of speech" issue.
