I'd guess they are CC, but I don't know for sure and that's why I didn't say either way.

Ah, found where I found them under "Favorite Games"

I was pulling games with more than 40 moves, so you should be able to figure out what games I pulled based on the list having number of moves made.

That is a quite interesting statement. I dont' think that he lies about the origin of life. He rather ignores the scientific data and builds up his own world (based on some sort of creationism). This seems to be well supported by his Bible knowledge. My contradiction here is rather, when somebody actively lives a life without sin (ok, this is the int ...[text shortened]... from his side), why would such a character sin in an internet game? Doesn't make sense to me.
by using a computer chess engine isn't worth 2 cents to me. That is why I
have already said I was not going to use the analyze board feature or set up
a real analyze board any longer and I would play thes games like OTB games.
But that does not seem good enough even though the highest OTB player I
have ever beaten was rated 1941 USCF and I usually play around 1600 OTB.

It does make you wonder if they were cherry-picked.

I'd like to know what the selection criteria was for the games, because the first 10 span over 5 years!
If I didn't know better I'd say it was cherry-picking.
A more sensible approach would be to look at chessgames.com.
Select the most recent 20 games Carlsen played against let's say FIDE 2200+ rateds which have at least 20 non-database moves & analyse those.
The section criteria is at best nebulous, at worst downright insidious.

I can pick favourite games of Weyerstrass & find either blatant engine use or evidence that he may well not have used an engine 😉

Lol!
I analysed plenty of FIDE World Championships & the Super GM thresholds are
Top 1 60%
Top 2 75%
Top 3 85%
The Games Mods also ran objective tests & found exactly the same.
Only cherry-picking will get higher match rate %'s.

Don't accuse me of trying to make MC's numbers look high, I was picking games with more than 40 moves and nothing more.

I've analysed more benchmarks than most.
Thresholds are thresholds for a reason, providing the methodology has been followed correctly.
Let me put it this way.
I publish a list of 20 of my "favourite David Tebb RHP games" which he played over the last 5 years.
These are then batch analysed & the engine match rates are inhumanly high.
Poor old Tebb is hung, drawn & quartered because the games weren't selected objectively in the first place.
We all play the odd high match rate game, a GM like Carlsen even more so.
Collect the best 20 games from a GM over many years & you have meaningless results as far as top 4 match rate technique is concerned.
Because he is human, Carlsen makes inaccuracies & even the odd mistake. These won't feature in a fanboys' favourite game collection...
