Batch Analyzer has now crashed twice during the analysis.
To be honest I can't be arsed to keep running batches anymore, especially since RHP doesn't ban the most obvious engine users.

Here it is -

The game left the database at chesslive.de when black played 12....Rc8. So from then onwards for white using Houdini -

Top 1 match 18/33 - 54.5%
Top 2 match 23/33 - 69.7%
Top 3 match 25/33 - 75.8%

Black castling into the knight fork was a shocker.

Thanks very much for that. Obviously Black wasn't a great player, he clearly thought that the fork wasn't dangerous because of Nxe7. It wasn't until White played the fork anyway that he realised that Nxe7 lost a piece.

I will run the batch on the games you provided and see what numbers come up... but by your 60 85 rule and the numbers you claim to be "expected" I see little difference with your result of 59.7 (1 move would bring it to your precious 60😵 and 84.5% (2 moves would bring it to 85😵

You're using Houdini, I'm using Rybka... Results will differ.

I may be wrong, but I would suspect that hard fought games between the top
Grandmasters like the one below would have a higher matchup rate than the
shorter ones.

Hi Fat Lady.

Have you been keeping up with this?

They have asked RJ to put his soul on the line and swear in the name of Jesus
he was not using a box. (Surely swearing on an M.C.O. would have sufficed.)

He's going to appear at the Pearly Gates and St.Peter will there with a
list of games and percentages. 🙂

I cannot condemn him because he does not know the theory of the
Yugoslav Attack or cannot explain himself.
Every post about chess does not make sense or betrays just a smattering
of knowledge.
Maybe he is having a wind up.

The standard of play, the game load, the early games blunders......
(people do get better but they do pick up things one the way. He appears
to have got very good without knowing why?)

As for the numbers? It seems it now all depends on which box you use
to do the figuring.

I miss Skeeter, she would have sorted all this mess out.

Good catch. For some reason when i pasted the pgn in it gave me an extra 45th move for white even though there was no move there. Curious.

Revised stats -

Top 1 match 18/32 - 56.3%
Top 2 match 23/32 - 71.9%

Have you been keeping up with this?

They have asked RJ to put his soul on the line and swear in the name of Jesus
he was not using a box. (Surely swearing on an M.C.O. would have sufficed.)

He's going to appear at the Pearly Gates and St.Peter will there with a
list of games and percentages. 🙂

I cannot condemn him because he d ...[text shortened]... h box you use
to do the figuring.

I miss Skeeter, she would have sorted all this mess out.
I have already told you I am not a master and I am still learning. I don't know
the names of all the openings and variations yet. I may never know them.
I never play the Yugoslav Attack or the Dragon because I heard Bobby Fischer
busted the Dragon. I only know a few variations and have to look up all others
in books. As you see in my game, I play f4 and not f3. I am not like Magnus
Carlsen, who has everything memorized. But I know how to look things up in
the books when I encounter them in my games here. I now know there is a
Yugoslav Attack against the Dragon, but that is all for I have not studied it and
probably will not unless I encounter it in one of my games.

P.S. In my OTB games I am starting to learn some opening traps. Unfortunately,
I am the one falling for them.

I'm not hounding you RJ.

It must be awful watching all your games appearing the forum.
And you do sometimes put your foot in your mouth.

I've been half expecting you to say:

"Wait a minute, I did not use an engine on that one!" 😉

Try to understand most (all) of the lads posting against you have
been the victim of a loss v a banned player. (me included, maybe even you.)

OK Cheating is a harsh word because there is as you say no finacial gain.
But it's not playing the game fairly.....Cheating.

If the opening discussion was about say, A Queen's Indian. I would be just lost
as you. I reviewed Tony Miles (and some other chap) book on the Yugoslav
30 odd years ago. (Only real fault I found if I recall correctly was the diagrams.)
And I have played it OTB the line both as White and Black so I know a wee bit about it.

I just wish you had not typed maybe Bg4 - d7 does not lose a tempo.
It's just not something a good player would say. But that has nothing to do
with you using, or not using, a box.

If, as I said, they lads were talking about a QID I too may have chipped
in and said something not quite sitting right.

Anyway. I'm on the brink of getting sued by Chessbase because I used a picture
from their website without their permission and have been called a cretinous Caledonian. 🙂

"Given that Chandler does not have the courtesy to credit the picture to Friedel,
I think we can discount the chances that the cretinous Caledonian has actually
sought or obtained permission to use it."

So you have your cross to bear 🙂 and I have mine.
