"....I only take lectures from masters and you are not one."

He's right, I'm not a master.

I am also aprrox 200 points lower than him on the RHP grade.
Why not bring that up as well.
Shame on me for offering advice or pointing out a possible error.

You still seem unclear. This is one of the mainline Dragon set ups.

White has just played 10.0-0-0. It is Black's move. (usually 10...Rc8)

But if Black took two moves Bg4 then Bd7 getting the Bishop to d7 then
in the above postion it is White's move. I think most would play 11.h4
White's attack has gained a whole tempo.

However....stay with me.

After 1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 g6 6. Be3

We have established that 6...Ng4 is an error due to 7.Bb5+
and 6....Bg4 losses a tempo. So Black's best is 6..Bg7.

Should White now slip in 7.Bc4 instead of 7.f3 then 7....Ng5 is given a ! by Miles.
(that is Tony Miles, Grandmaster, you listen to him right?)

Because if 8.Bb5+ Kf8!

It's OK it has Botvinnik's stamp of approval, he played it as Black in 1962.
(You will have heard of Botvinnik. World Champion. it's OK to listen to him.)
What a difference a move makes.

Fool that I am I have actually been trying to make your (RJ's) 6...Bg4 work.
(he thought a player graded 2300+ meant to play 6...Bg4 instead of 6...Ng4.)

Aw...he's gone. 😠

Anybody know a good lawyer?[/b]
Ask them to quantify their loss from using this picture.

I was once 'threatened' (too strong) because I used a picture of a Jaffa Cake in a public presentation. As I had said how much I liked Jaffa Cakes, I reminded the person warning me that I could not see how this damaged the brand, and wasn't this actually to their financial gain? To their credit, they took the point.

Then promise to be a good boy in future.

p.s. Isn't a good lawyer a contradiction in terms? Sorry, I get it now, you mean a 'skilled' lawyer......

Isn't a good lawyer a contradiction in terms? 🙂

It's all just a load of bollocks. A storm in a cracked coffee cup.

I often said on The Corner if you see anything you like just take it.

This credit for picture stuff to use as a joke.....
And where does it stop?
Thank you Joe Blogg for the picture, thank you Mrs Bloggs for gving birth
to Joe Blogggs.

He's got the hump because I pan his endgame books.

I mean what is the point of anyone these days writing another book on endings.

What practical new thing have they discovered?
Have the found a 100% win for white in this position?

Have they discovered that White wins no matter who has the move. NO.

Have they bust the Lucena.

Black can now draw this....No.

Infact it has been known as a White win since the 16th century.

It just the same old hash tarted up in a pretty cover going over the same old ground
that was covered years ago. Paul Keres practical chess endings should have
been the last book on endings....ever!

My slight beef with Giddins is he took the mickey out of the ill health of a friend
of mine in his blog. (a fellow RHP guy) . He used that fact to get a point across
and made jokes about it.

There is a line - he crossed it.

Didn't FIDE try to copyright the games in super GM tourns a few years ago? Wanted chess publications to pay to show the game scores. Some people are just money mad. Or just mad.

I stand corrected, my intention was not to 'cherry pick' but picking from a batch of 'favorited games' did in fact inflate results for Magnus Carlsen.

Analysis "Rybka 2.2n2 32-bit Hash:128 Time:30s Depth:12-16ply"

See top page 18 for quick list of the 20 games selected by Zygalski.

{ Magnus Carlsen (Games: 20) }
{ Top 1 Match: 484/842 ( 57.5% ) Opponents: 457/837 ( 54.6% )
{ Top 2 Match: 628/842 ( 74.6% ) Opponents: 599/837 ( 71.6% )
{ Top 3 Match: 698/842 ( 82.9% ) Opponents: 673/837 ( 80.4% )
{ Top 4 Match: 733/842 ( 87.1% ) Opponents: 720/837 ( 86.0% )

The analysis indicates idiotic engine use.
And yet RJHinds is still on the web site; still playing chess.

Needless to say I didn't even bother submitting a fair play ticket for that analysis.

RJHinds had said that you were the judge of this matter. If you decided he was cheating and said that he should leave the site, he would. You clearly stated that the analysis indicated 'idiotic engine use', yet he is still here.

I love that. "idiotic engine use". You would think he would have the common decency to slink of and start a new account. I wonder what a psychologist would make of this thread. Are we just paraniod, or is RJHinds a sociopath?

A thousand apologies if you are genuine RJHinds, but you must see that the evidence says that you are a liar and a cheat.

Practice what you preach.

Jesus wept.🙄

I think RJHinds is genuine, that is why he has not slunk off.
It would be our sad loss if we lost RJ.

Perhaps you are right.

Anyway, most will rarely meet those machines. I have only played 2 games on this site that I know were against computers. One was when a 2200 took my open invite(2200 wants to play a 1600? alarm bells!!!). A few weeks after the game ended he was banned. The other I know personally who murdered me online but I can beat otb. Fill in the blanks.

He's not slunk off for two reasons -

1. He's an attention seeker.
2. He's quite clearly deranged.

Add the two together and you get quite a potent mix.

Never thought of that.
