Game 713546 Nothing especially wild or out of this world brilliant about this game, other than the fact that he just THREW his queen at me....I was just rather pleased with my nice "solid" position at the time of my opponent's resignation.

Got to admit that he put on a very good fight considering hanging his Queen near the beginning.
This game is a LONG 62 moves, but I would say it is one of my most tense games I have ever played. It started very passive until around move 30. I was then slightly down on material. Got very tense between moves 40 and 50, and from then on I managed to turn things around and work out moves that lead onto a mate.

WHEEEEE! Game 766481
Crazy hypermodern games.
1. Blunder bishop.
2. Sac exchange.
3. Win enemy queen for other rook with mating attack, pick up a knight as interest
4. Blunder extra knight. Position difficult to win, easy to draw.
5. Prove Tartakower's next-to-last blunder principle. (He needn't have let me get the second queen)
6. Mate with two queens vs. 2 rooks.
Here's a definite woolly game. Played on uChess. I think it was 10/5, so that explains a few of the blunders. This is one of the only games of chess I've played, where I've actually been sweating. We both agreed it was great fun though. Sorry Gambitzoid, another blackmark against my unsporting behaviour. 🙁

Originally posted by Paul Diracyea. you know, there probably was a mate somewhere in there if I'd been inclined to make quiet moves, particularly when his king was in close proximity to mine. Surely queen, knight, and king can deliver mate without interference from a couple of silly misplaced rooks.

This game for me was rather intense. I opened weakly and meanmicro opens fast. I spent the whole game trying to save myself from a horrible opening. It was'nt till he declined the queen trade on move 35 that I felt I could pull a win out of it. Yes I have finnally stopped pushing the king bishop's pawn in my openings.

An unsound sacrificial orgy, a flurry of tactics, and thou... Game 788060
Well, now that this thread is back on page 1 ... 😉
Game 793668
Remind me never to go pawn-grabbing on the Q-side against an Accelerated Dragon again. Almost got away with it though - I wish I'd played Rc2 on move 27 ... 🙁
Resurrecting this thread from page 2 (!!)
What do you do with an extra piece? Why, sac it of course!
Game 786888
This is my best game so far. I normally play more defensive, but this time I opened up more.Game 806866
This one deserves it's selection on grounds of utter weirdness 😉
First time ever,I encountered the infamous Saint George defense.
