(No. I do not automatically assume everything on YouTube or Internet is 100% accurate ). As of yet I have no reason to not find credible some of this presentation.

You are a free moral agent you may take into your own mind what you like, if you want
to know anything about Russell or his teachings from my perspective , here is the only
official address, watchtower.org, they will be only too happy to answer your questions.
Many thanks and kind regards to you and yours.

That doesn't answer the question. In fact it's oblique.

This is the question: If eternal life is a gift from God, how does one get it?

Whoever is alive at that time and claims to be a believer will have to "endure" to the end. And will most likely have their head chopped off or starve to death because they won't be able to buy or sell anything including food without the mark of the beast.
Finally, someone who gets it.

I once gave my opinions of end times in the GF because someone asked, and then they proceeded to make fun of me for those beliefs. It totally amazes me how many people simply do not believe it will happen.

Ops .. sorry .. you dont believe in what Christ said !
I am treating you with respect, and I get this from you?

"Ops .. sorry .. you dont believe in what Christ said !"

Do you think I've not been respectful, do you feel like have insulted you or
attempted to twist your words to mean something other than what you have
said? I can only think that the reason you said what I quoted was too simply
insult me, I can think of no other reason.

Jesus said in the chapter I asked politely for you to read,

John 3:4-6 (American Standard Version)

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God!

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

There is a transformation that takes place, a spiritual one when one becomes
a Christian. You cannot enter into the Kingdom of God without the Spirit. I've
pointed you to this chapter twice and I'm willing to hear what you think, where
you think I'm wrong. I promise you I'll not attempt to be mean spirited to you
I only ask you treat me the same way.

Ditto.

Thanks for replying so. It's funny how when one makes a plain statement of truth, it is either overlooked or ridiculed. And it's sad how many Christians are unable to connect the dots concerning the chronology of Biblical events.

In all the years I've been posting in here, yours is the first reply made by a believer affirming anything I've said. Of course it could be the first time I ever said anything worth affirming. 😉

You have a sound and logical mind Suzianne. I enjoy reading your posts.

not only does it answer the question it does so plainly and without ambiguity, what is so
hard to understand about,

this means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you and of the one whom you
sent forth, Jesus Christ.

that is how you get it, by taking in knowledge is it really so hard to understand?

this is not the point of course. The idea has been put forth that once you are saved,
you remain saved, which of course is a nonsense. Firstly because Christ states
that salvation is dependent upon enduring. If one was already saved there would
be no need of endurance, for no matter what you did, you claim to be saved
already making any action on your part, irrelevant. This is simply a matter of
logic. Secondly the Apostle makes it clear that not only is it possible to lose the
status of salvation, but one must guard against it,

(1 Corinthians 10:12) . . .Consequently let him that thinks he is standing beware
that he does not fall. . .

making of course that idea that once you are saved, you remain in a state of
salvation, utterly without foundation.

That is not too impressive an answer. They train you to preach and teach every other argument. They should teach you something about defending the history of the Watchtower magazine as well.

Judge Rutherford built a big house in San Diego to house Abraham and other OT patriarchs ?

Rutherford lived lavishly during the time of the Depression ?

Russell's first issues of Watchtower taught Jesus returned invisibly around 1874-75 timeframe ?

Do you know about the rift between Russell and Barbour over their magazine's failed predictions ?

You know how lucrative Advent magazines were as a profit making venture in the late 19th century ?

What about Russell's Egyptian pyramid obsession ?

Just write to Brooklyn ??

We are Jehovahs Witnesses, not Russelites, please go to watchtower.org if you
are interested in our beliefs. As for impressing you, why would i possibly want to
impress you? I am after all not a performing monkey on an organ.

There is a lot about that time period that is very scary. Life will be different
no doubt, I imagine the freedom we now have, the pleasures we partake in
like college sports and such will be altered, life as we know it will be no more.
I do not spend a lot of time thinking about, mainly for one reason, if you are
not ready today, and you die before that time it will not matter.

I think a lot of Christians can connect the dots just fine (on the other hand, Revelations is kinda complicated and symbolic). They just refuse to think about it, or they put on their "well, you can't take EVERYthing the Bible says literally" excuses. After all, it is pretty scary.

Thanks for the compliment. As a woman, I don't get the "sound and logical mind" one too often. 😛

It might not be your point, but it was my point. Christians will be tested severely during the Tribulation. Many will be tempted and many, if not most, will fail. Many will lose their way, for the threat of losing their lives will be too much for many. I'm guessing you are one of many so-called Christians who do not believe the Tribulation will be as bad as advertised. Most Christians will fail. Most of those who do not fail will die.

Oh no, Robbie, there will indeed be a great need for endurance for Christians then.
