@sonship saidI think you are doing well in the Chicken and Potatoes thread ... that seems to be more your level of understanding. Here you are a misfit.
@PB1022
It is ironic that Rajk999 constantly berates Christians gathering together as churches for better or for worse. He loves to refer to "sin[ning] willfully" from Hebrews 10:26. Somehow it fails to catch his eye that the immediately preceding verse is a call for Christians not to forsake assembling together.

@pb1022 saidSo far all I heard is the gospel of your church which is a watered down version of the true gospel. Watered down becuase if you tell people the truth the churches will be empty and so will the pastors bank account. So all churches are about now is making money. Its a business, like the money changers Jesus condemned, and called them a den of thieves.
Jesus Christ wasn’t about judging and condemning. He was about mercy and forgiveness.
@rajk999 saidReally? You know what church I go to? You know if I even go to church? Your hatred of churches and people who go them is very interesting as is your false representation of God as constantly judging and condemning His children and setting an impossible standard that Christians should live perfectly sinless lives.

You totally miss the purpose of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and Resurrection.
@rajk999 saidIt’s pretty simple:
Tell me the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ then.
Jesus Christ died for our sins and those who believe in Him gain eternal life and the indwelling of God’s Holy Spirit.
<<Good works and keeping the commandments (to the best of one’s ability) are evidence of salvation (the fruit of the Spirit) not a requirement for it.
“For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
(Romans 8:3-4)>>

Thats weird.
The what you wrote there, seems to be one of the teachings of Paul. That is not the Gospel Message.
The Gospel Message is the Good News of the coming of the Messiah.
The Kingdom of heaven is at hand
Repent and Be Baprised
Live Righteously
Whoever does that will get eternal life
Whoever does not do that will be damned.
Jesus preached that Gospel message and sent out the disciples to preach...LONG BEFORE PAUL ARRIVED.
So if you quote Paul for the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ you are way off the mark.
@rajk999 saidSo now you’re saying that Jesus and Paul did not preach the same Gospel? Before, you said they did.
The Gospel Message of Jesus Christ was not preached by Jesus Christ?

So if you quote Paul for the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ you are way off the mark.
But Jesus Christ essentially said what Paul said.
Jesus Christ said He died for the remission of sins and that He will give eternal life to all who believe in Him.
So whether Paul says it or Jesus says it, it’s the same.
<<The Gospel Message is the Good News of the coming of the Messiah.>>
So you don’t think Jesus Christ was the Messiah? That’s be news to Jesus ‘cause He said He was!

Jesus chose Paul to take His Gospel to the Gentiles and Paul said the Gospel he preached came directly from Jesus.

@pb1022 saidBecause it has nothing to do with the discussion. It is irrelevant and it is a diversion tactic used by people when they cannot stick to the issue at hand. Have you noticed that sonship constantly tells me to confess that Jesus is Lord, which I ignore. What does that have to do with the discussion. Church Christians have a problem with the truth about the teachings of Christ. Another common one is when faced with Jesus's commandments to do good works and to love your neighbour, the first question people ask me is Do I do good works? When Jesus says 'Go and sin no more" they ask Do I sin?
I don’t remember you answering whether you think Jesus Christ was the Messiah at all. I remember you dodging that question.
But why not just say Yes or No?
These are all irrelevant questions designed to change the topic because Christians cannot accept much of the teachings of Christ. Irrelevant because what i do, what you do what anyone does has no bearing on what Jesus said 2000 yrs ago. I do not ask, neither do I answer questions designed to deerail to topic. So far I have asked you nothing about yourself. Yet you continue to ask all these questions about what i believe, most of which I have already answered. All I do is discuss doctrine and keep the discussion out of peoples personal lives.
@pb1022 saidYour God is a petty and jealous God. (Please take some time to read the OT).
Why do atheists always agree with people who portray God as constantly judging and condemning and without mercy or compassion? Is it because the atheists know they’re driving people away from God?
And an atheist doesn't drive people away from God, they drive people away from a man-made construct that holds us back as a species.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidPerhaps what you term as “petty and jealous” is God knowing what man becomes without Him. And what man becomes not just on earth but for eternity.
Your God is a petty and jealous God. (Please take some time to read the OT).

If a man and his young child were walking through a rough and dangerous neighborhood at night and the man told the young child to stick close by him and became angry when the young child wandered away to talk to a stranger, would you view the man as petty and jealous?
How does God hold us back as a species?
