@divegeester saidI think it is failing to see the evidence for what it is because everything is evidence.
It depends if you mean “any god”. If a god any god, was an evil god, then evil would actually be an evidence, or at least the outcome of the actions of that god.
I think the foremost objection to there being “any” god at all, is the lack of evidence.
@divegeester saidThe biggest I have said countless times here, only nothing comes from nothing, there is a cause for everything in the universe and at the beginning of that is caused is something causeless. Another is the information driving all of life’s functions, with or without evolution that is code is something we don’t find outside of a mind where operational instructions are concerned. The notions of good and evil, and history gives us a clue as well.
Would you mind sharing a couple of what you feel are the best examples of evidence that god exists?
@josephw saidI am not sure because your question is badly written. Prepositions can be tricky. I am asking about the age-old sceptic's question which I alluded to in my second post on page 1.
"Foremost objection to the existence of God"
"Is it 'the problem of evil'?"
Are you asking whether or not the primary reason for the objection of the existence of God is a result of evil?
@kellyjay saidWell I believe in creation, but I don’t see “evidence” of it.

I don’t understand what you mean about operational instructions, do you mean DNA?
I certainly don’t perceive the “notions of good and evil” as being evidence of a god. They could equally be human constructs.
@divegeester saidIsaiah 44:6
Surely this is mere opinion?
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
Isaiah 45:5,6
I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.
Is you opinion otherwise?
@fmf saidYou read my question badly.

I'll rephrase it a little.
Are you asking whether or not objecting to the existence of God is because of evil? Or maybe you're asking if it is evil to object to the existence of God?
@divegeester saidYou claim to believe in God. Why don't you?
