Of what relevance is your or my opinion when God declares that he is the only God there is?

I didn't read it in "a book". I read it in The Book.

Apparently you're one of those that claims to be a Christian, but in name only because you don't even believe what God says.

"Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God."

Your opinion is irrelevant.

You said, "I think the foremost objection to there being “any” god at all, is the lack of evidence."

If you think there is no evidence for the existence of God, then you're not a real Christian.

A Christian who looks around them with an open mind, accepts scientifically proven explanations for what we see, sees the Bible for what it is, which is just a book, and yet still believes in Christ, is a better Christian than one who accepts everything written in the bible with blind, unthinking faith.
In my objective, non - Christian opinion.

My third post on page 1 suggests/admits/insists/surmises that what we are talking about here is the Abrahamic God. 🙂
Ah, in that case, the chief objection against his existence is that the things told about him are incoherent.

As a "non-Christian" your perspective is non-biblical.

A Christian with an open mind "looks around" him or herself and sees the world through the prism of the scriptures.

Evolution contradicts creation. An open minded Christian does not equivocate or waffle about how everything came into existence, or that man was created in the image of God in just one day.

Those that claim to be Christian, but question the clear meaning of the Genesis account of creation, compromise their faith in the word of God, and make themselves subject to deceptions of all kinds.

Yes, it is quite possible some are in a delusion, some are not, or all are.

Twisted.

God tells us the truth. God provides the evidence. You twist and mischaracterize the words and intent of not just "some" Christians here, but all of them.

God created man in one day. How do we know that? Because God said so. And God said thousands of other things.

Who gives a hoot what I say? I believe God, and so should you.

But you don't. That's why you have no problem disparaging Christians to non-Christians directly. It is a perpetual habit of yours, and is evidence that you are either a nit wit Christian, or not one at all.
