Revelation 14:12

Context.

Notice in both cases:

- " .. who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus" (Rev. 12:17)

" .. those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus" (14:12)

The commandments of God, I believe refers to the Jews. The testimony or the faith of Jesus refers to Christians.

Christians and Jews will be persecuted under the reign of Antichrist. These I believe are the Lord's brothers down to the least of them.

You see the judgement mentioned in Matthew 25 is not the last judgement at the great white throne at the end of the millennial 1,000 years. Rather it is at the beginning of that time, after Jesus sits on the throne of His glory in the Holy Land. That is at the conclusion of the great tribulation. This is the beginning of the 1,000 years.

And the sheep nations and goat nations are those who will be left alive on the earth after Christ establishes His throne in Jerusalem.

Three groups.

The sheep nations
The goat nations
And these down to the least of the Lord's brothers.

All three groups pass through the great tribulation. All three have their respective destiny.

Christ did refer to the sheep nations and/or goat nations.

"But when the Son of Man comes in His glory ... He will sit on the throne of His glory, and all the NATIONS will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them from one another, just as the shepherd separates the SHEEP from the GOATS." (See Matthew 25:31,32)

It appears to me that you are the one in danger of trying to change the meaning of the passage.

By the way, the parable of the good and bad fishes is the exact parabolic counterpart of this teaching. Both passages refer to that same judgment. That is the judgment of Gentile nations who are alive on the earth after the second coming of Christ.

Compare:

"Again, the kingdom of the heavens is like a net cast into the sea and gathering from every species, which, when it was filled, they brought onto shore, and sat down and collected the good into vessels; but the foul they cast out.

So it will be at the consummation of the age: the angels will go forth and separate the evil from the midst of the righteous, And will cast them into the furnace of fire. In that place there will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth." (Matt. 13:47-50)


The sea represents the Gentile nations. The good fish correspond to the sheep nations in Matthew 25:32. And the foul fish correspond to the goat nations in Matthew 25:32.

The same matter is being taught in two different ways.
