@kevin-eleven saidWell don’t let it keep you awake.
@divegeester
I do wonder what kind of man lies about being a woman and a Christian.
@divegeester saidIf we were talking about just one passage, we might have to say it is debatable, but we are not; judgment at the end of this time is coming, and none of us will escape that. What we can do is turn towards the Savior; without Him, there is no hope, no redemption, there is justification for what He did for us. It was not an easy thing done for us, even being who Jesus was, is, and always will be, He still struggled with what was required by God for our forgiveness, He sweat drops of blood agonizing over what we needed, and He went through with it, taking on our sins so that we could take on His righteousness. This salvation didn't come at no cost to God, and it most certainly isn't one where people can ignore, deny, forsake Him and come away forgiven. We either accept the gift offered, the one we cannot earn, or we don't.
What the scripture “clearly says” is clearly not clear KellyJay, or we wouldn’t be debating it.
If mankind, Christians even, were in perpetual peril of being tortured for eternity by the very God who loved them so much he came and died for them, then you would think he would have taken the time to spell it out far more clearly than to have the likes of you chuck a few ...[text shortened]... her in the vain hope of convincing someone like me on chess site of that peril.
Don’t you think?
You should have watched that 4-minute video.

@kellyjay saidAll this frilly tea-and-biscuits church-talk doesn’t move me KellyJay, you should know that by now.

Christ has overcome hell at Calvary, it’s locked up and he has the keys, remember. But you hang on to what you’ve been brought up to believe if you want to.

If, for instance, there were a Cosmic Emanator, an Invisible Sun, I would imagine that considering the precedent development from the simple to the complex, that such a trend might continue, but of course it would not be in my purview to surmise how things might develop or where they might lead.
@divegeester saidSo much for your integrity and hypocrisy hunt.
Well don’t let it keep you awake.
@divegeester saidUnlike you I actually have a life.
Oh look who’s back from his “bathroom break”

@divegeester saidYou remind me of someone when scripture is quoted to you; you start calling it church talk instead of dealing with the passages that don't align with your point of view. If scripture doesn't move you, no amount of reason will because it isn't reason or scripture on what you make your stand.

@kellyjay saidI’m fine if I remind you of that.

The “church talk” was all your pretentious waffle you wrote prior to quoting your favourite torture for eternity control scriptures.
