@josephw saidOr it turns out to be less dramatic and one ends up like Dive, which of course is a blessing to all his communities.
Then you must realize that the scriptures say unequivocally that those who reject Christ will suffer eternal separation from the life of God.
That's hell! The lake of fire. Forever and ever.
One struggles to be kind.
@divegeester saidMy favorite or my least favorite scripture is meaningless; they are there, they don't stand out because of me, I didn't put them there. I refer to them because they speak to the topic in question, and you think by bringing them up I'm, pretentiously waffling? You need to explain why they are there, saying something that is going against what you said about hell. Anything I have said you could ignore, but you shouldn't pretend that scripture says one thing, and you are saying something different.
I’m fine if I remind you of that.
The “church talk” was all your pretentious waffle you wrote prior to quoting your favourite torture for eternity control scriptures.
@fmf saidNo, but I don't make threats, and neither did anyone else.
Do you think it benefits the forum if there is banter of that kind?
The problem here is a couple of wusses trying to make traction any way they can because their arguments are shallow and lack substance with regard to the topic they derail at every turn.
Déjà vu.
Honestly, I still, and always will harbor no real animosity.
I'm just going with the flow.

@kevin-eleven saidYou have the maturity of a young teenager.
@PB1022
Do you also find it interesting that a man and/or woman, who claims to be Christian but who might not be in any conventional sense, and who so avidly tries to expose the hypocrisy of others should lack integrity themself?
@fmf saidYes.
Is there any kind of forum banter you would draw the line at and call out?
Back on page 28 divegeester said to me, "Oh look who’s back from his “bathroom break”".
Divegeester has said that sort of thing to me many times over the years just because I quit posting for a few hours while I was occupied with my personal life.
I find it quite humorous that divegeester seems to think I should be like him and sit in front of my monitor 24/7.
Of course I'm jesting about that as I am about most of this "banter".
I am entertained. Thank you. Goodnight.
@josephw saidIf I am not mistaken, he has only ever said that to SecondSon when he disappeared for about a month because of a "bathroom break".

@josephw saidThis is quite a clanger you have dropped here. The "bathroom break" running joke started with a particular incident involving "SecondSon" about three years ago well after you had ceased posting as "josephw".

@kellyjay saidI’ve already explained what I believe and why. The account of Jesus at Calvary describes him overcoming death and hades and obtaining the keys to hell. Hell is done away with and that is a fact. I don’t care what scriptures you present I’ve read them all dozens and dozens of times.

Bottom line here is that you have been brought up in your church and fed stories about death and hell and eternal torture all wrapped up in this candy floss “walking with Jesus” rhetoric which you regurgitate and which you seem to feel is an acceptable balm to the horrendous beliefs which you hold dear.
I haven’t been indoctrinated in that way and I reject your version of Jesus who tortures non Christians in hell for eternity. I also don’t hold that the book of Revelation is literal, virtually none of it, you do, so you’re in a hole having to believe in literal multiheaded beasts, literal lakes of fire and brimstone and a literal Jesus who is in hell overseeing the torture of billions of people.
Your version of god is monstrous and your religion which stems from it sucks.
