One thing though is a curiosity to me. I played two games with SecondSon, one in February and one in March, over four years ago in 2017.

To what purpose would playing chess against myself serve?
Invariably it is an attempt to manipulate the rating system. You don't think this happens?

Reviewing the 2 games concerned, can you see how they might appear fake?

The stories are your church’s interpretation of scriptures, the gospel generally and the nature of god.

Your god is a torturing monster.
What church do I go to for interpretation of scriptures? You don't know what church I go to, and on top of that, that information is entirely meaningless; the only important thing is what the scriptures say, not my church, not me, and not you. What matters is what we see in scripture as is. Deflecting from the point of your disagreeing with scriptural truth is just as important to what Jesus did on the cross is; scriptural truth is only found when we look at the whole in context, not cherry-picking and modifying what we see to suit us.

Ok let’s ‘reset some switches’ and let me again ask you this question:

Is Revelation all literal?

(Note how I used “reset some switches” as a metaphor. There are no switches to be reset.)

Everything in context, are there some be specific, are there pure literal future events be specific. Open-ended questions don't help much, as I said, context, we do not get to pick one verse out and say everything in the Bible rests on this, no, its all of the Bible rests on all of the Bible, we don't get to cherry-pick what we like and dislike and only those matter.

Could you please rewrite this as the typo muddies your meaning

Thanks

Be specific what do you think is not important in scripture and why? You can claim the whole book of Revelation should be ignored but that doesn’t change the rest of the Bible that speaks to the same truth about forgiveness and wrath found in that book.

(Sigh)

I’ll ask the question again …

Is Revelation all literal?

Either yes it is, or no it isn’t…

I would say no, that doesn’t mean throw it all out as you seem to be suggesting.

Finally!

So which bits do you want to “cherry pick” (your phrase) as being literal?

I suppose it does, but I never would have thunk it.

Seems there's a no sum gain though.

You are the one suggesting it cannot be trusted and I have asked you for your views on this already. We don’t have to look at every verse just those YOU question as not literal that has something to do with Hell.

I don’t think any of it is literal.

So which bits do you think are or aren’t literal?
