@kellyjay said"No matter how much they proclaim it"? Are you talking about me? "How hard they try to measure up"?? Have you not read any of my posts?
All of those without Christ, no matter
how much they proclaim it or no matter how hard they try to measure up are
outside of Christ.
Saying God isn't real, we cannot know God as truth only shows that what it
takes to be a Christian, Jesus Christ, was only a wishful thought, not a reality.
Why are you fabricating and superimposing things onto my experience of faith whichare easy for you to be facetious about? What kind of discussion is this?
What's with all the amnesic and disingenuous posting?
@kellyjay saidWe can only speculate about such things. This is unaffected by how many times you use the verb "to know" and the noun "the truth" in a hyperbolic way.

@fmf saidSo you can say what you think because you think it and you don’t approve when it is done to you.
Because in making your "point" you are being narcissistic and the application of 'believers' terminology' to non-believers, as if it carries some moral weight based purely on your religionist zeal, is ostentatiously "technocratic" and quite obviously performative.
@kellyjay saidI have not made a single superstious or supernatural claim about you and nor do I claim that you will "deservedly" be tortured in burning flames for eternity after you die for not sharing my beliefs. I have simply described you as disingenuous, misanthropic and narcissistic and your bottom lip is quivering aplenty.
So you can say what you think because you think it and you don’t approve when it is done to you.
You have, meanwhile, labelled me with just about the worst "name" a Christian can imagine calling someone in some kind performative way. Sometimes you are just beyond parody, KellyJay.
@fmf saidNot everything I say is about you sometimes you are not even in my thoughts.

@kellyjay said“We”, who’s “we”?
I accept that he says he was a Christian, but what we say isn't the definition wego by for Christianity.
I see, so you “take him at his word” as once being a Christian… but only as long as what he says meets your personal criteria for being one?
This is getting worse!
@divegeester saidIt isn't getting worse; it has been the same criteria since the discussion started.

@kellyjay saidNice dodge!

Here again is what you needed to respond to…
So you “take him at his word” as once being a Christian… but only as long as what he says meets your personal criteria for being one?
@divegeester saidGo back and read the responses since obviously you have no idea why I disagree.

@kellyjay saidSo let's get this straight, are you a Christian or not?
I accept that he says he was a Christian, but what we say isn't the definition we
go by for Christianity. No matter how anyone has tried to live, what they did,
what they said, or how much truth they think they know, can any of that get us
right with God outside of Jesus. Not having God in them means they don't
belong to the Lord, and they are not right with God; if all ...[text shortened]... hows that what it
takes to be a Christian, Jesus Christ, was only a wishful thought, not a reality.

@kellyjay saidDon’t run away!
Go back and read the responses since obviously you have no idea why I disagree.
You have been claiming that you take FMF at his word” but now you are saying you actually don’t take him at his word because you don’t approve of his word.
Where are your principles man!?
@kellyjay saiddivegeester asks you about me and you answer him. I call you out for your disingenuous answer and you run away claiming what you said in answer to divegeester's question about me is somehow not anout me. You are being oddly low-integrity.
Not everything I say is about you sometimes you are not even in my thoughts.
@FMF
That is what you claim; the scriptures say something different, and so does my
experience. You can deny my experience, but more than a few claim the same thing
for quite some time, which goes against your assertion. You can only speculate; with
that, assuming your correct in what we can know.
@fmf saidYou may think everything I say is about you, I can refer to anything and anyone,
divegeester asks you about me and you answer him. I call you out for your disingenuous answer and you run away claiming what you said in answer to divegeester's question about me is somehow not anout me. You are being oddly low-integrity.
all things and everyone, and not be about you.
