The only difference between the believer and the non-believer is salvation and a willingness to trust and believe God.

Which of course gives us the greater advantage. lol
so in your opinion i am not a real christian.
in your opinion trust and believing god equals to believing the priests that tell you the flood is real.

being a christian means you hold a bloody parable (and a parable about a global genocide at that) as important as the teachings of christ?

"You don't know anything we don't know"
apparently i do. every sane person sees isotope dating as a valid means of dating. not you. every sane person would question why does everyone date the great pyramid before a flood that presumably wiped out all the egyptians but somehow egyptians survived. every sane person would question why jesus speaks in parables but the flood is literally true.

or maybe you have a different idea of what knowing means. apparently you view "knowing isotope dating" equal to "knowing harry potter"

"and don't be so narrow minded as to think Christians aren't capable of doing research just like anyone else."
oh i fully agree with christians being able to do research like anyone else. i am one of those christians. you are not. you don't research, you push the square block through the round hole until you manage to punch through. that's not research.

it was made by god. therefore space-time folding is perfectly reasonable. just as woodmorappe suggests they used glow in the dark pearls to see in the dark on the bottom of the arc. perfectly reasonable.

Check this over. You said -- 1,518,000 cubic feet [462,686.4 cubic meters]

Here is a calculator http://www.metric-conversions.org/volume/cubic-meters-to-cubic-feet.htm

Seems Proper Knob calculations are more accurate 1.5 M CuFt is approx = 45,000 Cu M.

do you see them(the "others"😉 doing this? not only that but they really believe god will send them to a fiery pit if they question the flood. ...[text shortened]... mation that falls on deaf ears and receive nothing in return. how is that fair or productive?
Your right...There are a few here that will never believe in God much less the Bible. So from that perspective it seems it is a waist of time.
Usually ones that don't believe in something like the flood, do not accept the Bible and all it stands for which means you don't believe in a God which seemingly releases them from having to answer to a higher being and the commentments that it implies. How convienent... Rom 1: 18-25. Pro 12:15. Ps 14:1-3.

My opinion means nothing.

So tell me sir, what makes you a "real" Christian?

You may be able to convince yourself, but you will never convince me that you know enough of everything to determine that there wasn't a world wide flood.

If God can create the universe with His Word He ...[text shortened]... rk with the animals and flood the world with water.

You and those like you think too small.
You make me laugh. The words you utter have no credence simply because you utter them.

I make the dimensions

137.16m long
22.86m wide
13.716m tall

Giving the vessel a maximum volume of 43,006m3.

Not quite sure how you managed to 462,686.4m3? You've made it 10 times bigger?!

A cubit is about 18 inches.

300 cubits = 450 feet

50 cubits = 75 feet

30 cubits = 45 feet

450 times 75 times 3 levels = 101,250 sq. ft.

More than enough space.

Believe me, I can make you laugh. Or I can make you cry. I can make you happy or sad or mad or glad.

But I can't make you believe God.

Joseph, your maths is shocking and hardly a good example for the US education system.

To find the volume of something we apply the formula

length x width x height/depth this gives us the volume.

450ft x 75ft x 45ft = 1,518,750 cubic feet

which is the same as 43,006 cubic metres.

As i've said the vessel may have three floors, but that doesn't change the total volume of the vessel. It remains the same.

Don't ask me about that at all. I'm terrible.. I agree the US is not good with education.

Ice floats, but not under all conditions:
Try this experiment: Take a cupful of ice cubes from your freezer, pour them into a metal or stoneware bowl, and place the bowl in the freezer for a couple of hours. After a couple of hours, remove the bowl, set it on the counter, and quickly pour a glass of tap water ...[text shortened]... use none of us were there during the flood to witness what happened...We just don't know
If you're not agreeing with the text, it begs the question.....why did you post it then?

First of all you were suggesting that all the ice caps, sheets and glaciers only came into existence after the flood. Now you're trying to tell me they were before the flood, but during the flood they just popped up floated around for 150 dyas or so and then just landed back where they came from? I know fanciful problems require fanciful answers, but that's just absurd.

But you still haven't adressed my question as to why there is no mud in ice core samples?

Because if the ice pack was there which I still doubt, the upper layers that would possibly have had mud on it from the flood, could have all melted off by now if there was mud on it at all.

We're looking at the square footage space available according to the dimensions given in the Bible to determine whether or not there was enough room for all the animals.

Now that has been proven.

And it makes no difference to me that I'm right or wrong.

It only matters that you see it.

I know that.

The only thing that has been proven is that your maths is terrible. Other than that, you haven't proven anything.

And it makes no difference to me that I'm right or wrong.

Evidently.
