Oh, KingDavid403, you hve some good atheist cheerleaders ready to stand with you. Ghost of a Duke and FMF have their pom poms flaying rooting you on. lol... Do they have those sexy, short skirt, cheerleader outfits on? If so, I'm in.
"KingDavid, KingDavid, he's our man. If he can't do it nobody can." Well, thank you Son. lol... Do what? may I ask?
...[text shortened]... oth could debunk you themselves at anytime. They're actually being fairly nice to you, considering.
Thats the sonship modus operandi.
- loses an argument, fails to provide evidence for his doctrine
- asks personal questions which has no bearing on the topic
- attempts to ridicule those who do not support him.

KingDavid403,

Here's what I mean by Ghost's cheerleading you on whether you intend debunking or not. You did show them red meat when you said you didn't believe very much of what I have written in this thread.

Of course it is consequential. When is specialized knowledge on a topic ever of no consequence, especially when received by academics who know the topic far better than you ever will?

On the book of Hebrews John Pester wrote this in Affirmation and Critique.

"In Hebrews salvation is synonomous with deification. Although many reflexively recoil at the mere mention of God being made man in order to make man God in life and nature but not in the Godhead, deification is not a heretical idea that illustrates a sinful propensity for self-exaltation. Instead, Hebrews shows that deification is God's desire, GOd's promise; it is the goal of God's initiated and authored salvation, a salvation that brings many sons into glory, even the effulgence of God's glory in the Son (2:10; 1:2-3)"

I need no talk about redemption and regeneration. If you need to talk about these things, please feel free to do so, if you have any questions.

I do have a question for you.
First a little background to my inquiry.

The letter from Paul we discussed mentioned that for him to expire (die) pre-maturely was to be with Christ his ...[text shortened]... ht now, would you be with the Lord ?
And do you have this assurance and confidence as Paul had?
The nonsense starts. What you or KingDavid or whoever think about where they go when they die is irrelevant. It has no bearing on what Jesus and the Apostles preached 2000 yrs ago, and that doctrine is that even among born again Christian Saints, there is good and evil. The good and righteous Christians go to be with Christ and accompany Him when he returns. The sinful evil ones await judgment day when they will be destroyed.

If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.(1 Corinthians 3:14-17 KJV)

Good Christians who do good work - Reward
Christians who do nothing good nor bad - Suffer loss but saved
Christians who defile themselves - Destroyed

Other interestering and relevant quote from John Pester on Hebrews.

"The first reference to salvation in Hebrews 1:14 speaks of the believers' inheritance of salvation, and the second reference 2:3 speaks of the possibility of neglecting this salvation. If, as many think. salvation is synonomous with redemption, there would be nothing for us to either inherit or neglect, because we have already obtained God's eternal redemption (9:12) and received the benefit of this eternal redemption - the forgiveness of our sins and lawlessnesses (10:17-18). In contrast to a limited understanding of salvation as redemption, chapters 1 and 2 of Hebrews present a much fuller understanding of salvation in God's economical operation."

KingDavid403, PB2010, KellyJay,

It is commonly known among some of us in the local churches that one Paul. E. Billheimer wrote a book "Destined for the Throne" . He touches matters which I have touched here on deification.

Examine one of many copies of the classic. Notice that the preface was written by none ofther than evangelical stalwart Billy Graham.

If you can't receive it from Witness Lee, or John Pester or me, maybe you could consider some of this from one Paul. E. Billhiemer's book Destine For the Throne. Bullhiemer was not a co-worker of Witness Lee.

Destined for the Throne: How Spiritual Warfare Prepares the Bride of Christ for Her Eternal Destiny Paperback – September 1, 2005

First published nearly 30 years ago, Destined for the Throne continues to train believers for their heavenly destiny. God's eternal purpose, Billheimer says, has been the preparation of an eternal companion for His Son. This preparation takes place as Christians engage in spiritual warfare and practice believing prayer. "[A] thorough presentation of God's total purpose and destiny for the church...satisfying and demanding," said Norman Grubb, former International Director of WEC.

KingDavid403, you have been sneering at, KellyJay has mostly ignored you for almost 60 pages, PB1022 has been given a forum ban for malicious trolling. Welcome to sonship's world! Why have you left off josephw's name? Is it because he has called your dogma blasphemous?

More exposure to BIllhiemer's similar treatment to the subject of God's deification of the believers.

Destined for the Throne, repackaged edition
By: Paul E. Billheimer

With its message of God's love for His bride and believers' triumph in Christ, Destined for the Throne has been a rousing call to prayer for thousands. God's eternal purpose, writes Paul Billheimer (Don't Waste Your Sorrows), has been the preparation and training of an eternal companion for His Son: the Bride of Christ. This preparation takes place as believers engage in spiritual warfare, and as they exercise believing prayer. God has chosen to work in the world through His children's prayers; Christians need prayer in order to practice for their heavenly destiny.

Next - flood the thread with stupid irrelevant links from likeminded sycophants, which nobody is going to read.

KellyJay, PB2010,
Someone is really eager to pit me against other believers here. His initials are FMF.

Consider that Billy Graham would write a forward to such a book.
And consider the description.

You are a worshipper of men. Never once have you written in such complimentary terms about the teachings and writings of Jesus Christ.

Surely an Appeal to Billheimer is a logical fallacy?
