@divegeester saidAnd God will pour out His eternal wrath on a Christ rejecting world.
God IS love, God is compassionate, God loves his creation God is omnipotent, God is merciful forever, God is merciful everlastingly, God is never changing. God will not burn people alive.
How’s that? All scriptural supported.
Biblical truth.
@divegeester saidThe "real" Lord Jesus Christ will judge the world.
...and in short students, this version of Jesus burns people alive for eternity.
Now, let’s look at the real Jesus....
Judgment is coming.
@secondson saidYou hope...
And God will pour out His eternal wrath on a Christ rejecting world.
Biblical truth.
@divegeester saidYou lie. And you fear the truth of God's Word.
Incorrect.
KellyJay is a cowardly mealy-mouthed right-wing American Christian who regurgitates the churchy duck-speak which he has been force fed all his Christian life, into large waffley furballs of dogma containing the small bones of the remains of the gospel.
@divegeester saidYour version of Jesus is of a mealy-mouthed weakling that doesn't mean what He says.
Your version of Jesus burns people alive for eternity.
Jesus said, "But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him."
"Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:"
@secondson saidThis is merely an 'It's God's judgement because it's God's judgement' assertion and not really a moral 'argument' per se.
The moral justification is because it is God's judgment.
@secondson saidJudgment day - Matt 25. The works-rejecting 'Lord Lord' goats like you will be cast out. It is coming.
The "real" Lord Jesus Christ will judge the world.
Judgment is coming.
@secondson saidI don't believe there is anything that happens "after this life is over".
Yet you don't believe that after this life is over that you will be held accountable for everything you ever thought, said and did.
All are saved by the death and resurrection of Christ.
The bible says that.
No it doesn't
Acts 2:47 says God added to the number of those who should be saved or who were being saved.
If ALL mankind was then the number could not be ADDED to.
King James Bible
Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Christian Standard Bible
praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. Every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.
All do not get eternal life.
The bible says that too.
Therefore saved DOES NOT MEAN eternal life.
Baloney. We are saved IN HIS LIFE.
"For if we being enemies were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more we will be saved in His life, having been reconciled." (Rom. 5:10)
1.) Reconciled to God "saved through Him from the wrath" (v.9)
2.) Being reconciled much more saved in the realm of His life - the eternal life.
@secondson saidIt's hardly surprising that you would claim this. There is no lack of spiritual components in my life; exploring the "understanding" that people like you have of supposed "supernatural components" is one of them. I think beliefs like yours are an unsurprising product of the human condition, as is the way you promote and defend them.
By denying the existence of the supernatural/spiritual components of life you've created a void in your understanding.
@secondson saidSure. Then let's add it to the list.
It's real because God said so.
'Hell is hell', 'It's real because it's real', 'people are tormented because they are tormented', 'It lasts forever because it lasts forever', and all this is because 'It is because it is'. AND, now, we add: 'It's real because God said so'.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidGod is not flawed. His Word is immutable, infallible and inerrant.
So the reason the Lamb is in the presence of the eternal torment 'IS' connected to God wanting the lost to 'know they are lost.' A kind of divine, rubbing their noses in it?
I can understand the character flaw of spite in a human being, but why on earth would you want to attribute such a thing to your God?
God will judge the Christ rejecting world. The lost, those that rejected God's salvation through Jesus Christ, will be separated from the life and love of God in outer darkness forever.
That's what the Bible says, and no amount of contradicting objections will alter that fact, and questioning God's character because you don't like the sound of His Word, with some human rationale, is unadulterated intellectual and spiritual folly.
@secondson saidYes, that 'is' what the Bible says. So why on Earth would a moral human being be cool with such a horrendous representation of the divine?
God is not flawed. His Word is immutable, infallible and inerrant.
God will judge the Christ rejecting world. The lost, those that rejected God's salvation through Jesus Christ, will be separated from the life and love of God in outer darkness forever.

@fmf said"They" did not, nor ever would believe. There "they" will remain forever.
And what is the moral purpose of STILL doing this to someone - for their lack of belief while they were alive - say, 200,000,000,000 years later?
The "moral purpose" can be found in the nature of God.
