Just a statement....I was doing fine; no alcohol or drug problems or anything...had a great job and life was great. One day I heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ (he died for me, was buried and rose from the grave) and, for whatever reason, I believed it. Since that day, I've never had any doubt that Jesus is alive. Someday you all will be sorry you didn't listen to powershaker! And that's all I have to say about that!

A problem in believing in the one true Son of the Living God? Surely you jest! A life without Jesus is no life at all! In the end, everything we do will rot. Our bodies will rot. The material in our universe we transform into grand works of art will rot. And, all we will have left is our souls. A man who dies without the one true Living Son of God ...[text shortened]... he knowledge of the coming Son of the Living God and that you may find salvation as I have.
Nope, I am not jesting. It seems to me that there is at least one problem: namely, that your belief is not warranted. It is often appalling to see how much attentiveness is directed toward this particular belief of yours, inasmuch as one could construe it as a form of discrimination against other arbitrary beliefs, such as those associated with other concepts of god or magical elves. But if we were to give the elves equal treatment, then the invisible pink unicorns get left out. It turns into a vicious cycle. If ever you feel like making arguments, instead of spouting incantations, let me know. Until then, it's in one ear and out the other.

No matter how holey the theory is, it will be clung to by those who need something to support their morality.

Evolution still remians a pillar of the secular humanists' worldview.
You can check the stats for yourself.
Just check how the crime, teen-pregnancy, abortion etc, rates have shot up since Evolution has been taught in public schools.
But I suppose you'll say that is just mere co-incidence.

Anyway, if you want to educate yourself about the actual causes of crime, you should read this:

Concerning teen-pregnancy, this is what Rutgers has to say:
With its very high teen pregnancy rate the United States is seriously out of line with other developed nations. Each year in this country almost one million teenagers become pregnant, and approximately four in ten girls become pregnant at least once before reaching the age of twenty. This is twice the rate found in the next highest nation, Great Britain, and nearly ten times the rates found in Japan and the Netherlands.
Which leads one to wonder why, since evolution is taught in these countries too, they haven't experienced similar increases in teen-pregnancy.
Concerning abortion, one really good explanation of its increased incidence is that it became legal. Or do you think that evolutionary theory caused the Supreme Court to pass Roe vs. Wade?
Christ, do your homework.
I was encouraged to see that The Clergy Letter Project established Feb 12, 2006 as a day set aside to discuss the false dichotomy between religion and modern science. They also discussed how evolution is NOT incapatable with religion. This was a network of thousands of churches across the country. Even a few Baptist churches I was happy to see.

I could say you are hardly being objective.

That is a silly example.
I personally would not be surprised if people are taught that they are apes and eventually they end up going ape.

There could be plenty of cultural reasons for that. All you need is a little bit of objectivity.

Originally posted by LemonJelloBoy, you need Jesus if I've ever seen someone need Jesus. Other beliefs are irrelevant. There is only one Messiah, Jesus Christ. And, other religions do not boast the accuracy of scripture that the Bible does. Whose Messiah rose from the grave in three days? Did Buddah carry the sins of the world on His shoulders? Did Krishna? Do either of them boast the archaeological and historical accuracy of the Bible? Are their prophecies as accurate as Christianity? NO! Did the Jews regain their nation fulfilling a prophecy dated hundreds of years old? What other country has gained their nation back after losing it completely? NONE! Only Israel! God's promise to the Jews. It seems you decide to follow the broad way. I decide to follow the narrow. By saving face, you try to support every belief and all beliefs, and win your clients over with the liberal view. Well, the God of Abraham is not a Liberal! And, the true Christian isn't either! The time is nearing when the Son of Man will come with the clouds and His glory. He will appear before all men, and they shall be His people for all eternity. 1,000 years of peace is nearing. Jesus is the only Way to the Father in Heaven. The Word of God is plain. Your liberal views only make it look okay to go to hell and deny the Son of God Jesus Christ as the Messiah. You truly are lost, and I pray you find your way to the open arms of the Savior Jesus Christ.

Originally posted by rwingettI am a Christian and I am not embarrassed by dj2becker. Men may err in their ways and their words, but the Word of God is eternal. And, dj2decker may falter in his words and his actions, but at least he has the Son of Man at his back. And, the day will dawn when many will say, "Why is dj2becker going to Heaven and I to Hell? Just because he believed in Jesus Christ in his heart?" And, the words of the Lord will be plain. You have denied Him so he denies you. And, better off is the worthless sinner who says, "I am such a sinner Oh Lord! Forgive me for my sinfulness. For I am not worthy to be in your sight, but only through your grace am I saved." And, many will say, "I cast out demons in your name, OH Lord!" And, the Lord will say, "I never knew you!" Because, it is not by works that we get to the Kingdom of Heaven, but by faith in the sacrifice on the cross. The Lamb of God who surely died for our sins. His love is boundless. His mercy is great! And, still the Son of Man will give everyone his chance to obtain salvation, mercy and grace. Every chance He can give you, because He loves you. But, still many shall turn their backs to the Messiah and even when they discover that Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, they shall take up arms against Him and be roasted in the flames of the Almighty God. Why be embarrassed over dh2becker. I am no better than Him nor he me, but in our hearts resides the living Son of God. And, He and the Father are one. We are but grafted in the branch of David to live forever in the Kingdom of Heaven with the Lord of Lords and King of Kings. Wise is the man who falls the narrow way and believes and has not seen the Messiah Jesus Christ. Blessed is He who has not seen Him and continues to believe in His heart. Blessed is he who treats his brother as he would have his brother treat him. The only judge worthy to judge is the Father in Heaven, and His words are true and just. True justice will be had for all eternity.
You see, dj2becker? Even the other christians are embarrassed by your abject stupidity.

Please! Correlation does not equal causation.

They just do not understand the power of the God Almighty, because they don't even believe He created the stars, the trees, the microorganisms, everything... But, this should show you dj2 how few will enter the Kingdom of Heaven and many there fall by the wayside.
