I was encouraged to see that The Clergy Letter Project established Feb 12, 2006 as a day set aside to discuss the false dichotomy between religion and modern science. They also discussed how evolution is NOT incapatable with religion. This was a network of thousands of churches across the country. Even a few Baptist churches I was happy to see.
You can't really trust all of that. You see, paganist ideals are entering the churches. This is a sign that the woman riding the beast is coming about. The false prophet will usher in a false religion more compatible with the world view. He will eventually force everyone to accept this religion, and it will most likely be one that will accept everyone regardless of faith or religion. In other words, a new age sort of belief. These pagan ideaologies will eventually completely infiltrate the churches. You cannot trust what men say. Only trust in the Word of God for it is eternal and will never be found false! No man can prove the Word of God false. A long time ago in my college days, I use to pedal pantheism. I thought I had the ultimate answer. I tried to find contradictions in the Bible, and eventually I made up a pamphlet to lead everyone to pantheism. I was totally wrong. I was whoring around, going to parties... and getting drunk. I thought I was the ultimate Henry David Thoreau. You see, I was an English graduate. Then, the more I looked into the Word of God, and the true meanings behind those words... the more I studied the Hebrew meanings of words... the more I tried to disprove God's Word, the more I came CLOSER to the Son of the Living God. I can find no holes in the Bible. Everything people try to say of contradictions is indoubtedly in the end to hold no water. And, the Bible never says evolution created mankind. That's men bending the Words of the Lord God. God said He created man out of the clay of the Earth. That could mean several things. But, He never said He made Adam out of a cat or a tiger, and let it sit arround a few million years, until Adam dropped his tail, and ultimately became human.

Here's an experiment for the Christian/evolution belief: get yourself about 100 watches. You know, like the one you wear on your wrist. Take all those watches apart, and put all the pieces in a bucket. Now, think about how long it's going to take if the bucket is jumbled up for millions of years for all the pieces to come back together and end up with 100 completely functional watches? Yeah, I know. I don't think it's possible either. But, if one just peers at the cilia, the red blood cell, the white blood cell, they're more complex than all 100 of those watches. So, just take a protein in the same since with a bunch of methane gas or whatever... and jumble it around... let it sit there for millions of years... I guess those cell walls will eventually start to form? Wonder if those 10,000 RPMS the cilia is turning will get going any time soon... Hmmmm! What's going on? It's just not doing anything. DUH! THE GOD ALMIGHTY was the catalyst of time, space and creation! The God Almighty! THE GREAT I AM DID IT!

I find her post-modern perspective so capricious, yet somehow resolute. I must find her.

So is that admission that you cannot prove it's existence? Earlier you said you could prove it, I was merely asking you to back that up. Yet another claim you can't prove, and you wonder why I call you a fool so often.

more than a fool believing in something without proof? why limit it to mythical god, why not include elves, rock trolls, leprachauns, the flying spaghetti monster etc... check this ref out:
http://www.venganza.org/
it shows that either you are a fool for believing or that you are accepting there really is a FSM.

I've had this conversation with powershaker in this thread already. I know he's accepted defeat on this point because he has:
a) admitted he cannot actually prove there is a god and
b) he now uses my argument against him in several of his rants in other threads - he paraphrases from me that faith is not fact, if it were it would not be faith.

so freaky, show me your proof.

edit: believe me; with proof, actual solid proof, i would gladly lead the charge in telling the world of the existence of god. good luck.

By all means, you first. Prove you are, then I'll prove God is.

prove i am what exactly?

the onus is on you to prove it - if i were to say anything unbelievable (like the existence of a mythical being for example) you would expect me to back that claim up with proof.

Prove that you are. Prove that you exist. Prove there is any such thing as existence.

you want me to pm you my address? you can come see me if you like and even pinch me on the arm. maybe you should stop trying to ask "deep" questions and stop taking mind altering drugs. before we change direction totally you could still show me your proof.

Ah, so your proof is your (or my) experience of pain? Care to prove that either of us is actually experiencing said pain?

never said a pinch would hurt, just wanted to assure you that i can be pinched. can i now pinch your mythical god?

are you actually going to address any of my points? it's all a bit one way at the moment. probably because you can't actually provide proof as previously claimed.

to be clear: you stated that you have more proof for god than you do for yourself. show me then. i do not want to have proof of your existence, i want proof of gods.
