That's it? What happens if you don't follow the teachings of Jesus after you profess to the above?
Suppose you follow the teachings of Jesus but were not brought up as a Christian and follow the practices of Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism? ...[text shortened]... hen repent and go into heaven?
These are all questions ons has to ask oneself - I think.
That means those who came before, during, and after.
As for the details, that's not my job nor yours nor anyone elses.

G'day from down under.
Dont think I've had the pleasure before, but lets see..
1. Do you believe in Hell? (ie Eternal damnation/suffering/[insert own])
2. Do you believe that Jesus is the only "way"?
3. Lets say that I've kept my mind open, and am ready to respond and "get in touch with"/"be harmonious with" whatever entity presents itself ...[text shortened]... h to waste no time in repeating myself to the forum, unless I really, Really, have to)

What they lack is life experience, but they have the knowledge (I am referring to the upcoming teenagers , like my daughter, who will run the world in not too long), and I dont see a big swing towards christianity, despite being open to spirituality
Our only obligation is our relatoinship to the Almighty, not to being judge and jury for everyone else.

In the same light, I do not deny that people have spoken with christ (or vice versa).
So you dont even want to have a little dig at my questions? I even numbered them for you. I'm just interested, is all .. you dont have to . It's no biggie 😉

1.) No - it's my belief but don't really know.
2.) No - it's my belief but don't really know.
3.) It would be Buddha - if that is what you believe.
:>😉
Originally posted by Proper KnobIt's not as simple as that, Proper Knob, it is supposed that our "souls" (essences) that get to "heaven" , not the rest of our loony personalities. Not that I subscribe to the christian version of heaven, but there is something in my belief system that kinda sounds like the bible version.
Let's see, a choice of a living heaven with the loonies who frequent this forum?! No thanks, i'd rather go to hell.

I believe in purgatory, but not hell.
After all, if you think about it, it doesn't make sense, not to my way of thinking anyway.
If god is love, then I dont believe anyone will be fried FOREVER.
It's these sort of backward ideas (ie "Hell" ) that put me right off christianity. Just to repeat myself, it doesn't make any sense in any logical way, whereas as I could see "heaven" as making some sort of sense.
But all this comes back to the proper assesment of human psychology , without which we cannot progress in any meaningful way on our spiritual paths.
