This is useful analysis for any like me who are trying to understand this recent and hopefully temporary increase in vitriol on this forum. I too, looked back at Roman's posts and found one in the recent thread that has "Suzianne" in the ti tle. One page 6, roman asks Dive "Are you that ashamed to be a believer? Or are you a phony?" That's arguably different ...[text shortened]... , aside from the possible technicality about the exact phrasing of Roman"s statements about you.
Principle, honesty, integrity are whats at stake which is possibly why it has gotten a little fractious.

I see, you are also going to take the cowards way out and abstain.

I think you are just annoyed that you got yourself into a pinch yesterday and made yourself look silly by backing away from your big-man rhetoric with excuses about bathroom breaks and taking the rest of the day away from the site. You still won't answer the question even know, even after all your big tough talk about Jesus and the Pharisees. It's hilarious.
Yesterday morning I was at home with my family getting ready to go to church. You posted several times that I was avoiding the discussion with false accusations, when in reality I was busy and posting as time permitted. It was Sunday, a day I spend with my family, not you.
Now you want to continue with your pathetic nonsense about me "backing away".
Sorry, but I've lost faith in believing you're a Christian at all, even nominally. Your belligerence against the Christians in this forum has tipped the scales.
Originally posted by @fmfIt's quite evident you have a high and mighty opinion of yourself. No surprise there.
Well, I think I display more moderation and integrity than you do in my dealings with other posters and I don't resort to any of the hyper-aggressive flame-speech that you seem to have a liking for, but as you say I am not a Christian, so it's moot.
Anyway, which other Christians apart from divegeester - to your way of thinking - "bring reproach on the name of Christ" with their behaviour on this forum?
What you call "hyper-aggressive flame-speech" is merely me speaking the truth about what I think, and a clever disguise to cover your own malevolent disgusts against Christians and Christianity as a whole.
Divegeester is in like flint with you as you are with the other Christian bashing posters. And you duplicitous spiritual cowards think we can't see it.

I’m not calling you a liar, I’m just pointing out how you backed away from your big tough-guy statements about Jesus and Peter; we’ve been over this and you getting all “tough-guy” Christian again isn’t going to make me change my mind and more than your spit-bate comments about not believing I’m a Christian will.

'Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions.'
Proverbs 18:2-3
Who's right and who's wrong? To have understanding requires careful objective investigation of the facts.
The correct quote of proverbs 18:2 is; A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.
A fool is selfish.
Verse 3 says; When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.
Ignominy- public shame. The context has the idea of personal shame.

I'm not a tough guy. I'm not trying to sound tough. How you arrived at that idea is without merit. You're projecting.

Do you believe Jesus Christ was crucified for the sins of the world?
Do you believe Jesus Christ was Resurrected?
Maybe you could pm SecondSon your answers so you don’t have to answer publicly. I know how great the shame you would feel would be - assuming your answers to the three questions are “Yes.”

I am being repeatedly and persistently trolled by Romans1009 who is accusing me of being ashamed of Jesus Christ. Other than calling someone a Son of Satan this is probably one of the worst insults one Christian will say to another.
If you think I am ashamed of Christ please say so, if not then who will stand with me and refute this person's claims a ...[text shortened]... ent with Romans1009, I am not asking for ambivalence.
Who will stand with me one this matter?

What a pointless question. How should I know? And why should I care? If he is that's his problem.
But I will say this, creating a thread like this is nothing more than attention grabbing and an attempt to slander romans who's done nothing to deserve it.
This thread is divegeester's display of how some that call themselves Christian bring reproach on ...[text shortened]... self with unbelievers and misbelievers in an attempt to slander another poster.
Contemptible.
