MOriginally posted by Tirau DanCant believe the AB'S are starting with Jerry Collins on the bench ,he is an awesome player both with and without ball.
In the news the Boks have complained formally about Paul Honis the ref saying he is biased against their team and that he cost them the game last weekend.
Also after a week off the ABs were up and running at dawn training yesterday. 7 changes for this weekends game against the boks. Do or die for the ABs chances..
I like the balance of this team a ...[text shortened]... f I'm wrong and you'll hear the squealing across the ditch)
Come on guys make your picks.
MacCallister back in the centres will give them the midfield penetration they need ,Weepu will be stronger and a handful at scrum half ,Carter will be back to his best.Mealamu deserves his chance and will go good
The Boks kick away too much possession and the back three of the AB'S will counter-attack superbly as they will have time and space .
AB'S will win this ,and i will predict a score of 38-16

Isaia Toeava will play centre, Luke McAlister will be back at 2nd 5/8th McAlister was hopeless at centre. Great to see Mauger out.. he was totally hopeless against Aussie. Carter must find form if they are going to go well ..he is the key player.
Mealamu is an exciting player. I suspect that Henry had him picked ages ago as his first choice it reminds me of the difference between Andy Dalton and Sean Fitzpatrick in the 80's. Only no where near their level of skill.

Who do you think will win the world cup this year
-will New Zealand fail agaain
-will France's home support be a major factor
-what are Ireland's chances of an upset
-will England get out of the group stages
Edit: providing Lote Tuquiri doesn't sleep in the day of the final.

I reckon they sack Henry.

Carter on form is the only one I like.
Henry should be sacked after the cup regardless
if nz win they'll OBE him... I'd stone him now.
Warren Gatland, Wayne "Pig" Pivac and Matthew Cooper should be next in line with a clean slate. North South games, NPC v Super 14 series and trials should be back, overseas players not attending the trials should be out.. good luck to them. NZ should drop the Super 14.
LOL these forums bring the bs out.. Henry will survive but lots here are baying for his head.

Originally posted by boarmanNo way.. Deans and Wayne Smith have had too much to do with All Black selection and training. Deans has done well at super level but like his playing days never quite stepped up.

If we see Deans in the ABs.. we would see more Canterbury players in the team and thats been happening too much through in the last twenty years. Remember the south island campaign to get Todd Blackadder in as capt.. that was a complete failure.
Warren Gatland's stint at Ireland and his years on tour with the winning late 80s squads just give the man a hardness that is needed. Back him with a training expert like Wayne Pivac (North Harbour & Auckland) and solid running back man in Matthew Cooper (also a kicking expert with lots of rugby coaching & admin experience in a couple of different unions here) and you have some balance restored.
One person I would have in for experience is Laurie Mains ..but as manager. lol He would be appointed to guard the breakfast and tea on match day so we don't get poisoned :-p ;o
The Junior ABs have just taken out a clean sweep of the Pacific Nations Cup downing Japan 53-3.. also demolishing Aussie A by 50pts and Tonga
Ma'a Nonu is playing centre for the junior, Marty Holah.. etc all in the Juniors. They've done so well we may see Ma'a back for the abs.. I hope so.
The current All Blacks per http://www.allblacks.com/team/ have 34 players in the team.
If you add the Juniors to the 34 abs you have the pool of players you may yet see at the world cup.. quite amazing really.. but to me we should have a sure fire 15 NOW.
Pretty Please IRB can we send three teams.. I would lay odds on them all making the quarters ;o

Navy club & Northcote Club until late 80s on the North Shore & Takapuna Police playing the like of other police teams, prison officers, councils courts etc.. mostly social after 90 kept trying to stop but I'm a large unit and the old sods used to get injured so mugs always ended up going on.. left police I think it was more a mud attraction than anything.. I was never fast enough...

Nothing better than the game of Rugby.
