@rajk999 saidYes. According to the 1948 partition plan, the Jews are allocated land; albeit, at the time, a disproportionate land size compared to the inhabitants already there (with and without taking population sizes into consideration).
I am interested in your opinion on whether or not the Jews are entitled to the land which the British passed over to them in the 1948 partition plan. There seems to be some reason why you are avoiding answering that and pointing to some other irrelevant matter.
The “Isrealis” however took more land that they were due according to that plan.

@rajk999 saidNo. The British empire betrayed the Palestinians with a broken promise and now you think they have a right to rip their land away from them after promising it to the Palestinians? Why didn't the empire rip land away from Germany for a Jewish homeland? They were no less welcome there than in Palestine. Even prior to the Balfour Declaration and the British Mandate, pan-Arab newspapers warned against the motives of the Zionist movement and its potential outcomes in displacing Palestinians from their land. Hardly a solution for Jews were being persecuted in Europe and the British government was sympathetic to their suffering. So the British send them to Palestine for even more suffering?

The Balfour Declaration promised Jews a land where the natives made up more than 90 percent of the population. Secondly, the declaration was one of three conflicting wartime promises made by the British.
When it was released, Britain had already promised the Arabs independence from the Ottoman Empire in the 1915 Hussein-McMahon correspondence.
The British also promised the French, in a separate treaty known as 1916 Sykes-Picot agreement, that the majority of Palestine would be under international administration, while the rest of the region would be split between the two colonial powers after the war.
The declaration, however, meant that Palestine would come under British occupation and that the Palestinian Arabs who lived there would not gain independence.
Finally, the declaration introduced a notion that was reportedly unprecedented in international law – that of a “national home”.
@shavixmir saidThanks. I was interested in MBs opinion on that. I know you already agreed on that point some time ago. The thing is the British did not divide the land according to population sizes for whatever reason [we know the reason]. What is important is that at that point the war started. This is what set the stage and the tone of all subsequent interactions.

The Palestinians wanted them out, and they wanted full control of all the land then and that is what they aim to get even today. I am not doubting that the Jews are guilty of land grabbing, and know some of the stories and they are very wrong in some of the cases.
Annexing land is probably a different situation. In the event of constant hostilities and war, the party defending, can legally annex part of the land from which the attacker launched the attack. Israel can claim defensive status, since Hamas has been the aggressor over the years culminating in the Oct 7th attack. Israel is the one that put up fences, cameras, security, iron dome etc. all to defend the border.
This is going to be the justification for cleaning up Gaza and annexing part of it.
Annexing land after a defensive war has been an ongoing occurrence since 1948.
@metal-brain saidWell the answers to your question is very simple. The Jews wanted that piece of land for historical / cultural reasons and they had the negotiating power to make it happen. The Palestinians did not. Its simple.

Ok, I finally got you to say it. The Jews are not entitled to any portion of Palestine. Any further discussion with you will be pointless.

Way before 1948 Jewish terrorist groups, like the Stern gang, were already ethnically cleaning Palestinians from the land.
@shavixmir saidI would say there were hostilities from the initial movement of the Jews back to Palestine [about 1890], right on until 1948, when a real war started. The war was Israel v the surrounding Arab states.
The war did not start then.

@rajk999 saidThe Zionists stole the land. Thou shalt not steal.

@metal-brain saidAnd they going to 'steal' more, because the Jews are going to annex Gaza and displace more Palestinians. I feel sorry for them and people like you who are on the wrong side all the time.
The Zionists stole the land. Thou shalt not steal.
In 1948, the British partitioned the land and the Palestinians made mistake #1, refuse the partition deal, called in their Arab buddies, and went to war with the Jews. They lost. Did they learn? Nooooooo !!! They wanted more of the Jews, so they fought again and lost again. Did they learn? Nooooooo !! History keep repeating itself, and will continue to do so until the Jews have full control of Palestine from river to the sea.
@rajk999 saidSo thou shalt not steal means nothing? Then the prophesy of Jews returning to their homeland means nothing. If you are going to reject one of the ten commandments written about in the bible then you must reject all of it. You cannot cherry pick which parts of the bible to respect.
And they going to 'steal' more, because the Jews are going to annex Gaza and displace more Palestinians. I feel sorry for them and people like you who are on the wrong side all the time.

"the Palestinians made mistake #1, refuse the partition deal"
What partition deal are you talking about? Who offered the deal to whom?
@rajk999 saidWhy do they need to steal more land? Israel already exists. Hasn't the prophesy already been fulfilled? Also, does the prophesy rule out Israel being wiped off the map afterwards? The bible also predicts the end times. How do you know that Israel invading Gaza is not what leads to the end of the world which means the end of Israel too?

I think you are confused. You didn't even want to accept Zionist Jews were stealing land and now you accept it and support violating Hebrew religious law as written in the bible so Zionists can keep stealing land. Does this prophesy say how big Israel is supposed to get?
It seems to me that biblical prophesy is an outdated excuse. Israel already exists.
@metal-brain saidYou can Google that. Its in the bible. The Quran has it as well that the Holy Land is what God gave to the Jews. So like I said you are on the wrong side. But like the bible also said some people are destined for that position. Some are predistinated for glory and happiness while some for pain and destruction.

Stop using fairytales as a bloody source of law.
@shavixmir saidYou are entitled to your opinion, as we all are.

Stop using fairytales as a bloody source of law.
Stop telling people what to think.
What is shyte is your opinion on these matters.
MB raised the bible issue.
Just to prove my point. The Land if Israel is like a dot in the middle of a great sea of Arab countries, all of whom want Israel destroyed. God says that is not going to happen, and they will destroy themselves in trying to destroy Israel.
@rajk999 saidYou can’t prove anything with the bible.

It’s ancient fairytales and a lot of claptrap about gods.
Utter madness.
@rajk999 saidI did. You are evading my questions. Israel already exists so why does it need to expand and steal more land if the prophesy has already been fulfilled? Also, define "Holy Land" if you think Israel has to expand to make room for more Jewish migrants.
You can Google that. Its in the bible. The Quran has it as well that the Holy Land is what God gave to the Jews. So like I said you are on the wrong side. The bible says Jews would return to the homeland, but does that mean every single Jew in the whole world? And if Alan Dershowitz is a Zionist Jew why doesn't he live in Israel? Is he stubbornly resisting the prophesy?
Once again, why do you think the prophesy has to be fulfilled in this century? The bible does not say when. And why would Hebrew religious law have to be violated (as told in the bible) for Jews to return to their homeland (as told in the bible)? Explain this contradiction.
Does the bible encourage the stealing of land which violates one of the ten commandments? Yes or no?
