Only you would bother to "scrutinize" her to the degree you did. But you just had to be an ass about it.

I only cited them because of where I live. So let's return that example to the shelf, and instead mention other more visible allies of the US. Saudi Arabia and Israel. Should we support them unconditionally?

"Civil, provocative, genuine". I think I am being provocative, are you saying I'm not? As for "genuine", you think I am not being truthful about my disagreement, such as it is, with you? And which bit do you think has been the least "civil"?
[b]There needs to be an understood, mutual respect between people when they are sharing thoughts, ideas...in my eyes, a ...[text shortened]... trying to change the subject to respect or manners or whether my questions to you are "genuine".

Let me preface this by saying...I am no historian, nor am I some foreign affairs expert, just a citizen with my own humble opinion...
The freedom-loving world is being threatened by an enemy that has surpassed anyone's wildest expectations as to their boldness, their evilness, their determination to destroy, terrorize, kill...
I unconditionally support troops from our country and those of our Allies. I do not get to decide who our Allies are and why. I am not privy to such information. I must trust that my government has our citizens' best interests in mind as they strategize (or in our country's case...don't strategize 🙄 - save for another day...) But at the end of the day, the troops willing to go off, possibly lay down their lives, risk being captured, tortured, etc..by this group of unleashed madmen...they have my gratitude and support.

Thanks you for recognizing FaithJ. I hope he returns here at some point to say hello....second thought...maybe not?
You mentioned his family and you are so right to remember them. Military families often endure painful separations, frequent relocations, and chronic stress. Only .5% of our population is currently active duty, which can cause them to feel pretty isolated from the rest of society. That being said, they are a resilient bunch. Committed, loyal, tenacious...
God bless our troops, those of our allies, and all of their family members and friends who stand by and support them unconditionally. Seems like the freedom loving world will be calling upon you once again to sacrifice. We give you our humble and sincere gratitude.
