The stick that I get has a lot to do with the positions I take and expound upon. If you don't realize that I take positions, Suzianne, then it perhaps just goes to show that you too often swing your fists in generic forum scorn without reading what people like me are actually posting. 😉

You have failed to provide a shred of evidence for any of your claims and instead insult our intelligence every single time with the same frothy wash. You are busted jeester, morally and spiritually bereft! they are calling you out in spirituality for being a ...[text shortened]... ing wreck on the forum floor, too bad, if you had been honest it might have been better for you.
No one is asking you to condemn any person. This has been clearly pointed out to you thoughout this thread topic over and over and over again; you repeatedly stating that you will not condemn a person is quite silly and if you are honest it is just a deflection tactic from the actual question put to you which was: would you condemn the act of gay bashing. Here we are hundreds of posts on, and you still won't do that. It's quite revealing.

I am an atheist, and of course have made no secret of that fact. (Grandmother excluded). Dive does however represent a form of Christianity that i find more reasonable. He doesn't argue that the world is only as old as a tortoise etc and shares my abhorrence of such concepts as eternal suffering. (It is to these previous discussions that my 90% comment referred).

And yes, i avoid getting drawn in to any ping pong conversations which invariably ruin interesting threads.

The 18 Types Of Internet Trolls (Posted: 5 years ago by Tamar Love Grande)

"The first rule of forums, chat rooms and bulletin boards is: DON’T FEED THE TROLLS. If you feed them, they grow. If you starve them, they wither up and die. However, sometimes it’s hard to tell you’ve been trolled until you’re in a keyboard lather. Protect your sanity and reputation with this useful guide to 18 kinds of internet trolls.

If nothing particularly nasty is going on, he’ll whip out his flamethrower and burn everyone in his path, especially denizens of parenting or pets chat rooms.http://www.smosh.com/smosh-pit/articles/18-types-of-internet-trolls

Did you see FMF the knife wielding grammar prigg in that list? He attempted only recently to
foment some lamebo pedantry with regard to my failure to capitalise a proper noun and was
readily identified and outed. It was joyous. Thanks for that Bobs.

You claimed that you had called divegeester a "devil" because the word meant 'slanderer'. I pointed out that you had in fact called him "son of Satan".

It was you who took care to capitalize the S in "Satan", not me. It was you who then suggested you had only used the word "devil", which was untrue. I have never in all my time on these forums commented on your grammar.

Which part of this thread were you finding so "interesting" before you jumped in to lambast me for "immediately and relentlessly hounding" Robbie carrobie "at every opportunity"?

How many times have you been cautioned and banned from the forums by Russ' appointed forum authoritarians for your poor forum etiquette Grampy Bobby...10? 20? 30 even?

I've been banned once since 2008 for posting an inappropriate link to a gif.

I'll await your timely and accurate response.

This wasn't one of the threads to which i was referring. (Though it does sometimes happen that a personal argument between 2 posters starts off in such a thread as this and then spills over and consumes other threads that are going on at the same time in other forums, especially the SF).
My pet hate is to return to a thread i've been enjoying, and which has involved many contributors, only to find the thread has suddenly grown by several pages due to a repetitive argument between 2 or 3 posters. I then have to scroll through all that tedium to make sure i haven't missed a post by somebody who has actually said something on topic and interesting. (Though usually such posters by then have themselves lost interest in the thread).

Quite often such a personal disagreement between 2 posters seems to come down to a word or phrase that is taken 'literally' (cherry picked) and then repeatedly thrown back at the person who said it as ammunition. I find this practice genuinely rather curious, especially when a given Christian may not take the bible itself 'literally' and yet will take a literal interpretation of what another poster has written in a 4 minute message.

Dive has spoken about the rudeness of ignoring another person in the forums. For me though (and this is not directed specifically at Dive) a far bigger rudeness is to hijack a thead and turn it into a personal argument with another poster. I don't think that is a very grown up way to use the forums. (Personally speaking).

This is exactly my beef with certain posters who take what was an interesting, or even a potentially interesting thread, and turn it into yet another festival of third degree interrogation. Sometimes they even jump on their victim (who often varies depending on who was the last one to complain about them) before the thread even has a chance to become interesting, probably to silence the topic with a barrage of nonsense. And then they spend another 5 pages whining about being called trolls. All while claiming that only they can stay 'spot-on' on topic. Lather, rinse, repeat with every new thread. And yeah, it gets old.
