can anyone tell me how to link games?
when you are posting there is an 'insert link to a game' option underneath the window when you click on it a window pops up copy the game ID into that window and you're done.

Game 1985789

EDIT: i in no way endorse this horrible example of random movement of chess pieces around the board.

this is not a checkmate in under 20 (black resigns on 20...) but its by far more educational.

both players are rated over 2100, and the game allows interesting analysis on how black could improve his defense.

this is actually a nice game although this game would be a gem after
12.d3!! Qg6 13.Qh3 Qh6 14.Bxh6 Re8 15.Bxg7 Kxg7 16.Qh6+ Kg8 17.Qg8#
also elegant would have been 13.Qh3!! g6 14.Rh8+ Kg7 15.Qh6+ Kf6 16.d3! any 17.Bg5 # But this is difficult to see so you open up the bishop first, i can forgive that. 15.Rh7 adopts a more brute force approach but i give you props for a game without any dropped pieces.

yes i particularly like the part where you should have been down a piece after 4.f3 Ng5 5.h4 ooops.

MCA lessons - don't try to make pretty shapes with your pawns instead of developing your pieces.

I might be wrong but after 4f3 isn't Qh4+ good for black? If g3 Nxg3 and if Ke2 Ng3+ in both cases getting a rook for the knight.

Indeed you are correct and I am caught in the awkward position of having my foot in my mouth.

there is no forced win of a piece.

Please note that this thread was started over a year ago and I have learned quite a few of these rules already 😉

there is no need for the sarcastic "MCA lessons..." comments but thank you for your input

This one was quite startling, given the opponent's rating:
