@thinkofone saidNot surprised you feel that way considering you have a dead Jesus you refer to.
As I pointed out earlier in response to a post of yours:
[quote] If our sins are so so bad to God that an eternity in Hell is a just recompense, how bad are they? Now think about Jesus, He took every sin, by every person, from the beginning to the end of time upon Himself and God punished Him for them all.
But wait there's more. You believe that Jesus IS God. Th ...[text shortened]... is utterly nonsensical - including what you've written in the two posts of yours to which I replied.
@kellyjay saidYour doctrine is foolishness. There are people who knew nothing of Jesus Christ, who have lived from the time of Adam to now, who will be in the Kingdom of God. They know nothing of any death or resurrection, neither do they need to. They know and practice goodness and righteousness, and that is all that Jesus wants. You and your mouth worshiping doctrine will be cast out.
Not surprised you feel that way considering you have a dead Jesus you refer to.

@thinkofone saidIts obviously nonsensical to someone who cherry picks which parts of the Bible they want to believe.

@sonship saidOver a thousand posts and you are not able to face up to or prove wrong my OP.
@divegeester
Over a thousand posts in now sonship...
A thousand posts and your opinion is the same.
Big deal.
🙂
@sonship saidWhatever rhetoric soothes your troubled brow old chap, whatever...
@divegeester
Over a thousand posts and you are not able to face up to or prove wrong my OP.
A thousand posts and not quite a thousand evasions of questions for Divegeester, but quite a few.
@sonship saidWhy would I be surprised? You've repeatedly shown over the years that you don't understand the half of what others write.
@ThinkOfOne
Try reading my earlier post in context of what DG wrote which was written in context of what KJ wrote.
After you've done all that, maybe you'll be able to understand my post.
It may come as a surprise to you. But I do not think I need to do that.
I have a very good idea of where you are coming from.
All I expect is variations on a theme. Not much more.
If you'd understood the context, you never would have responded as you did.
@kellyjay saidFeel free to actually address the points of my posts instead of once again stooping to your usual ad hom wrapped in a red herring.
Not surprised you feel that way considering you have a dead Jesus you refer to.
@dj2becker saidWith the Bible being what it is, there's no choice for anyone other than to pick which parts they want to believe.
Its obviously nonsensical to someone who cherry picks which parts of the Bible they want to believe.
Many, like you, lack to integrity to acknowledge this fact.
If you believe what KJ posted isn't nonsensical, by all means formulate a cogent argument to that effect. If you remain true to form, you'll refuse.
Why would I be surprised? You've repeatedly shown over the years that you don't understand the half of what others write.
I do sometimes not cover the whole conversions or misunderstand posts.
Having admitted that, no need to daydream that a little CLOSER reading of your ideas would render them acceptable as faithful to the Gospel.
Sorry ToO,
Don't imagine that -
A little SLOWER reading,
a little REPETITIVE reading,
maybe a little MORE digestion,
A little better READING comprehension and re-re-re-consideration will not expose you as a damnable heretic.
@thinkofone saidNo the choice is look at all scripture in light of all scripture. The choice is alter your theology according to scriptures, or alter scripture to make it fit your theology which is what many here do including you.

@kellyjay saidRight KJ.

And when all is said and done, YOU end up picking which parts you want to believe. In your case, you believe the parts that line up with the dogma that you've been taught and find a way to discount the parts that don't.
And many, like you, lack to integrity to acknowledge this fact.
@thinkofone saidSo tell me about Jesus, you don't think he died for our sins?
Right KJ.
