But actually completely irrelevant to the question I’ve been asking you since the OP.
Did you yet explain why is the DEAD who are said to stand in the last judgment and the DEAD who are judged?
Did I miss your answer somewhere?
That kills your concept of "burns people alive for eternity".
You would have to change it to "burns the DEAD for eternity."
In you next post tell me who is condemned by God forever the alive or the dead.
The literal interpretation of Revelation states that Jesus will be in Hell overseeing the burning alive** of non Christians.
Prove me wrong
**yes sonship “burning alive” ~ remember why this thread was started.
The last book in the Bible proves you wrong.
Revelation 20 says John saw the DEAD standing to be judged and the DEAD were judged.
Was the rich man in Hades in torment in the flames alive or dead ?
"And the beggar died, and was carried away by the angels into Abraham's bosom, and the rich man also DIED and was buried.
And in Hades he lifted up his eyes and said, Father Abraham ... for I am in torment in these flames ..." (Don't ignore Luke 16:22,23)
Was the rich man being tormented ALIVE or DEAD ?
@sonship saidUnderstandable, considering I just called you out using your own words.
@divegeester
So there it is, you abdicate any responsibility for defending your horrendous dogma, by asserting that you are not called to do so. You are just required to believe it.
Incredible.
Not impressed Divegeester.
@sonship saidAre you still asking stupid incomprehensible questions in order to dodge the points of my posts?

@sonship saidHow does this html ridden blurt “prove me wrong” in the slightest?

Who is it that is going to be punished with going to a lake of fire Dive?
"And I saw the dead, ... standing before the throne ..." (v.12)

The living go there?
Or the dead go there?

There is no honesty and truthfulness in your mouth. You continue to lie and deceive.
@sonship said"lack of belief" in God does not exist anywhere, even in eternal perdition.
Apparently God sees to it that in eternity in the new heaven and new earth in which only righteousness dwells, "lack of belief" in God does not exist anywhere, even in eternal perdition.
It is difficult for me to say a lot more about that because I am not called to CONDUCT the last judgment on anyone personally instead of Christ. I am only called to believe it. Do you really believe that lack of belief in your God figure "does not exist anywhere" in the world?
If your God figure is willing to reveal Himself unequivocally at the moment a human dies, and if "lack of belief" makes Him so very, very, very angry, why not reveal Himself more unequivocally while the human being is still alive so that the lack of belief issue is dealt with?

@sonship saidWell, well. No wonder you can't make a morally coherent case for the spiteful and demented ideology you are "only called to believe". You are only following what you just so happen to believe are your 'orders' from a magical being.
It is difficult for me to say a lot more about that because I am not called to CONDUCT the last judgment on anyone personally instead of Christ. I am only called to believe it. And I do not suppress its teaching as I tell people about Jesus.
@sonship saidOne of the things about this topic, if you think about it that God who is Holy and Just sends individuals to Hell that was prepared for the devil and his angels. If our sins are so bad to God that an eternity in Hell is a just recompense, how bad are they? Now think about Jesus, He took every sin, by every person, from the beginning to the end of time upon Himself and God punished Him for them all.

If eternity in Hell for the individual is just payment for sins, then what had to happen to Jesus on our behalf? The Father crushed Christ so severely, it paid the debt for all our sins. Our sins would cause us to spend eternity suffering for them, what Jesus had to have taken on for the whole of the human race is beyond our understanding. He paid the debt He did not owe, but Jesus Christ took it all for us, we could not do it ourselves.
Salvation by our works to get good enough is such an insult to Jesus Christ when He offered Himself to us as a gift.
@kellyjay saidDoes that nonsense argument down well in your church? Is it the Church of LatterDay Morons ?

But wait there's more. You believe that Jesus IS God. Therefore by your line of thought "our sins are so so bad to God" that God punished God to "[pay] the debt". It's nonsensical. But people are so pleased by the prospect of getting a "free gift" that it renders them blind to the truth.
Salvation by our works to get good enough is such an insult to Jesus Christ when He offered Himself to us as a gift.
What's an "insult to Jesus Christ" is that people believe such nonsense instead of believing in and living the gospel preached by Jesus while He walked the Earth.
