I did just describe hell.
Hell is a revealed truth.
Outside of revealed truth, there is only mundane (empirical) knowledge, academic knowledge, and arguments constructed by reason.
And, if reason is used without God, then anything can be said to be logical as long as it does not contradict itself.
@philokalia saidYou singled him out as a "great thinker" and a "great writer". He is, clearly, one of the weakest and most inarticulate writers here and one of the most feebleminded Christians ever to play a part in this community. It's interesting that you do not have the social skills to have discerned this.

@philokalia saidYeah... 'It is because it is' etc. etc. etc.

Kelly Jay has, many times, impressed me with his eloquence and the way that he consistently and succinctly defends the faith.

I think what I said brings up an interesting idea about the limits of rationality and logic. There's a lot of meaty susbtance there. Albeit, a lot of it could be off the given topic!
@philokalia saidWe have both called it how we see it.

@philokalia saidBeyond "the limits of rationality", people can simply make whatever assertions that appeal to their imagination.

@philokalia saidEladar and chaney3 were the other two contributors you singled out as "great posters" who "inspire" you to post.

Different thing.
@sonship saidAre you asking me this silly childlike question because you can’t think of how to reply to my actual post?
@divegeester
Can you think of anything good about a lake of fire that one should not be concerned about being thrown into it?
@fmf saidYes, very good posters; always a breath of fresh air.
Eladar and chaney3 were the other two contributors you singled out as "great posters" who "inspire" you to post.
Of course, I do not agree with chaney3 in this very thread. However, I like his/her contributions.
@philokalia saidGod IS love, God is compassionate, God loves his creation God is omnipotent, God is merciful forever, God is merciful everlastingly, God is never changing. God will not burn people alive.
What would be a morally coherent assertion?
How’s that? All scriptural supported.
@philokalia saidOk here’s an example...
What is an example of something that is morally coherent?
Mankind is doomed to permanently die and not get access to an afterlife due to some metaphysical legal situation. But God sees that the the solution is to pay the legal price himself. However he is spirit so creates an avatar of himself, an exact representation of his being, to go and pay the price. Which he does because he loves the world he created and the people in it.
That is an example of a morally coherent story.
Adding on that God subsequently decides to burn alive all the people who reject his avatar’s sacrifice is not morally coherent.
Read that a few times, see how it goes.
@philokalia said...and in short students, this version of Jesus burns people alive for eternity.
If I did not believe in morality, I would say that moral incoherence was still possible in the sense that content contradicts itself and thus becomes incoherent, so it succeeds in being at least incoherent while it might not necessarily be moral, as no moral character exists.
However, that is not the case with the Bible...
Those who do not want to be w ...[text shortened]... y understand how to conceptualize and completely to understand heaven, the same can be said of hell.
Now, let’s look at the real Jesus....
@philokalia saidIncorrect.

KellyJay is a cowardly mealy-mouthed right-wing American Christian who regurgitates the churchy duck-speak which he has been force fed all his Christian life, into large waffley furballs of dogma containing the small bones of the remains of the gospel.
