@ghost-of-a-duke saidEternal life is eternal life, we are all created in the image of God. All that can be done for us has, as all that we needed in the beginning was there. When evil is done towards God, or anyone who belongs to Him the just recompense will be given.
Yes, you have explained that. I'm still waiting for you to explain why it is necessary for anyone to spend eternity in torment. Why does your God require that? Why torment?
If the supposed revelation is convincing enough for you, it's convincing enough for every human being? Is that how your ego has processed your speculations about supernatural things?
My ego speculated into history Jesus ?
No, I came and heard His words.
You can't blame that New Testament on the speculations of my ego.
@kellyjay saidAgain, why the need for torment?

If you don't know, just say so.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidI will say it is the difference between mercy and wrath.
Again, why the need for torment?
If you don't know, just say so.
@sonship saidYes. Your superstitious speculation - in harness with your ego - is what makes you believe your morally incoherent assertions are coherent.

@fmf saidWhat would be a morally coherent assertion?
Yes. Your superstitious speculation - in harness with your ego - is what makes you believe your morally incoherent assertions are coherent.
You know, Wittgenstein believed that moral questions & answer cannot even exist. There is nothing in the universe that has this "moral" quality to it.
When you say that something is morally incoherent, it implies that there is something that is morally coherent. Give us an example of that and tell us why it is coherent, if you like.

@philokalia saidThat would require thinking so I doubt you will get an answer, possibly some insults. I don’t think anything else worth reading.

@philokalia saidSomething other than the dozen or so "It is because it is" [and "I believe it because I believe it"] "arguments" that you offered earlier on this thread. With you, I have come to terms with the fact that you cannot do it. Hold your head up high if you think you have made a case.
What would be a morally coherent assertion?
@fmf saidBut wait...

That hasn't answered the question.
What is an example of something that is morally coherent?
Or does morality not exist, and thus a morally coherent thing does not exist..?
@philokalia saidI don't have to come up with some sort of hypothetical, convoluted, magical atrocity that trumps the convoluted magical atrocity supposedly meted out by the God figure that appeals to your imagination.
But wait...
That hasn't answered the question.

There is no onus on me to pretend to be superstitious - in the way you are - in order to help you establish the credibility of your circular-logic-driven assertions.
All you are offering is that you believe what you believe and it is what it is.
As sonship once said to me a couple of years ago when he felt ruffled by my lack of belief: Look FMF, "...you are going to be burned because you are going to be burned."
