I know full well you have your own partisan preference but this surely cannot divest you of the ability to accept that there are numerous literature-based faiths and versions of God, tracing back to only Abraham there are three major ones and even then there are an almost uncountable variety of sects, cults, and denominations spread across just those three. And you must surely also accept that I cannot maintain Christian faith without believing in the credibility of the Bible ~ and that this loss of faith does not mean there is "no God". Surely?

I didn't. The remark was directed at what you said. Besides, I'm not the one making facetious remarks about my "religion". I don't have a religion. I have a faith, and it isn't funny. It's serious. Religion is a joke. Must be why so many in this forum make so fun of it.

You have just trawled through all my posts using the search function to find this haven't you? And you didn't even bother to look who I was replying to did you? That post is neither cynical, nor judgemental and nor is it made to another Christian in this forum.

And yet you have erroneous used it against me (as an example of how I engage with other Christians in this forum) and subsequently judged me by accusing me of not being a Christian. Have I done that to anyone here - EVER? No I haven't, I judge the content of the post against scripture and call out what I see to be doctrinal error. I regularly admit publically to being a weak Christian but I NEVER judge others at the spiritual level as you are doing to me.

I admit that the post you found from the general forum was crude, but that doesn't make me a heathen does it? I don't know Joseph...you're the one judging me, why don't you carry on.

On the contrary, your religion is Christianity and your faith is Christian faith. You cannot set Christianity apart from other religions by simply declaring it not-a-religion by way of sophistry, as much as you might believe doing so has some lexicographical validity.

And I merely added "no God" to it.

In reply to your post above, God to you is a conceptualization based in human imagination. So essentially you have nothing to contribute to any discussion about an actual living being called God.

You say it's "instinct" that tells you there is a God, but you have no knowledge of who or what God is, and you have never offered any idea or concept of God anywhere in this forum that I know of. Yet you seem confident that no one else knows anything either. That's your loss.

Strange how you can exploit the virtues of all your knowledge of the world and it's religions, but still you don't know a thing about God. That's really sad considering you know so much about how much no one else knows anything about God!

"Bashing Christians" I presume you mean contending against the horrendouse doctrine of eternal suffering etc? That you disagree with this doctrine and yet you don't stand up against it highlights your lack of moral code and the courage to face up to "other Christians".

Edit:**my exchange with lemon lime excepted - although I was trying to make a point about him (also) accusing me of being non-Christian. I fully accept that lemon lime is a Christian irrespective of my disagreement with him.

Actually, I do know a fair bit about " the world and it' religions", and Christianity's concept of God in particular.

I will let you know just as soon as you present a concept to me that gives me a convincing reason to think know something.
