Really?
According to scripture Jesus raised people from the dead, and then they nailed him to a cross.
In fact, I knew a nurse once who was not a believer who personally witnessed a patient of hers come back to life after family members prayed for them. They had been dead an hour.
She never became a believer.
“The dead rising” and a patient who makes an unexpected recovery are two entirely different things. You’re reaching very, very far.
Show me my grandfather walking about, after having been dead for 20+ years and I’d be impressed.
Amazing story though, someone being brought back from death after family members prayed. So God heard those prayers and thought, Ah, what the hell, let’s bring him back to life. Especially odd, since praying for exactly the same reasons happens thousands of times a day and yet the patient remains very dead. But let’s forget about those many, many cases. Let’s pick one wondrous example and accept that as clear divine intervention. Anything to strengthen your weak sense of belief, right?

Just too bad for those thousands of people - many of whom believers - who still die painfully of cancer every year.
So basically God's power is to play mind games with cancer patients all year long.
"You will be saved! And you! And you!"
"No, you will die coughing up blood, for reasons you will not understand! Hahaha!"
Edit: Oh, that crazy God, decides to let his powers slip for a couple of minutes. Whatever will he do next?? http://edition.cnn.com/2014/05/18/world/americas/colombia-bus-fire/

Without faith?
Without having an understanding of who He is?
Without understanding that He has already provided and it is up to us to believe and receive?
You assume an awful lot my friend.

Second. I’m not assuming anything. It is you who is assuming that these stories you read on the internet a) really happened and b) that goddidit and c) that you know when god decides to intervene.

The bible tells me God has already done his part, it is people that need to believe.

Maybe, there are others who have had more healing too.
But that is a silly question because it all comes from Jesus anyway.

Let me know how you feel about all of this the day you die of lung cancer. Get back to me and tell me about believing then.
