You are dodging. Is someone who 'lost their faith' (in that current state) still in Christ and faces no condemnation?
The problem you have fetchmyjunk, is with your clear dislike of FMF's claims about his prior Christianity and your desire to prove him wrong, which is clouding your view of scripture.

And you are dodging my question again. Yes or No?
If you are asking is it possible that someone can lose their faith and not their salvation my answer is yes, but as I said earlier, it depends on how you define "faith"
It also depends on ones definition of "lost".
Jesus said to Peter that he had prayed for him that his faith may not fail and that he would be restored. So we could say that peters faith was intact overall, but "restored" could refer to repairing something damaged or recovering something lost.

Originally posted by FetchmyjunkMy faith was most certainly genuine in the sense that it was sincere and very real to me at the time. But, as you know, I do not now hold the claims that Christians make about Jesus and about a 'revealed god' to be true. And, as you also know, I accept you at your word when you say that, currently, your faith is sincere and very real to you; indeed, I can empathize fully.
So then we agree your faith was not 'real' or 'genuine'.
Originally posted by FetchmyjunkYou are still not getting it/pretending not to get it. My faith was real, let me assure you. It was the things I had faith in that I stopped believing to be real.
Of course ex-Christians like yourself exist. They are people who used to call themselves Christians but no longer do because they realized that their faith was not real.

What is your backgound?
I was raised Lutheran but a moderate type which I abandoned when it got too moderate. Been a generic conservative Christian type not fitting in perfectly with any denomination ever since.
What do you mean by conservative Christian?
