[1] The stuff Christians believe about God, Jesus and themselves. [2] I lost my belief in the veracity of the supposed evidence.
I have told you these things over and over and over again.
Originally posted by FetchmyjunkThe "evidence" provided by the Bible. I've discussed it here many times. I've started whole threads about it in the past. I'm not interested in typing it out for you. I lost my faith in the Bible as credible evidence. The details are neither here nor there now as the end status for me is that it has absolutely nothing credible whatsoever to tell humanity about supposed supernatural things.
What 'supposed evidence' did you loose your belief in? Would you care to share a few examples?

Read the parable of the sower and then get back to me.
" But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

Why are you pretending not to understand?
My faith was real. It was genuine. It was sincere. It was longstanding. It was stitched into every facet of my life and underpinned my every action. It was real to me.
As my beliefs changed, I realized that the things I had believed were not real.
This does not mean that my faith was not real.
Originally posted by FetchmyjunkI am saying exactly what I have said over and over again. There is no need for you to paraphrase what I said because it was crystal clear, explained fully, and repeated several times ~ as I think you know all too well.
So you are saying faith is real even if it is based on something that is not real? 😲

But do you notice that the seed grows in the rocky soil and in the weeds?
There is no guarantee that if you are part of the elect just because you claim to be a christian and believe it in your heart.

So you are saying that it is not possible to have real faith unless it is based on something real?
🙄
He is saying that if you have real faith you will never lose it.
The fact that you lost it proves it wasn't real to begin with.

If that is what he is saying, then why is that not what he said? I can read English, and that is most definitely not what he said.
Given that you have now said it, do you agree with it? Can you back it up with a logical argument? Why would one be unable to loose real faith?

Your ignorance of course.

It seems to me that ever since Trump won the election, all his known supporters on this site are really pissed about something. Is that it? You didn't really want him to win?

Lets suppose that is so. Why would that warrant your throwing out 'typical' a few posts ago?
And which definition of which term that he used do you believe I am ignorant of?
